How does the 5.13 gears hold up, got a d30 on 35's and thinking about going to that gear ratio

Great video! Do you have a build breakdown of how you built everything on your jeeps? I’m interested in staying low on my tj. I see the rear yj fuel filler. Is it a custom fuel tank for the rear stretch? What suspension do you have? If you have a list of everything you have done to get your jeep to this point I’m interested.

Nice work. I did the trail last year with my brother and it was quite the drive in my manual 2011 Xterra with 33s. You do it in 2 days? Pretty brave to do it solo, you must have alot of offroad experience.

In my opinion 33's with 1 locker is the minimal requirment then try and choose the best lines.

It takes abit but you can get up to 90km, I have the 5spd. I haven't tried going faster than that since my rig is pretty sloppy everywhere.

You guys obviously manage just fine but how come you don't use chains that would probably make things a bit easier?
@DickedShit
@DickedShit Жыл бұрын
Chains are good until you get into snow that's too deep where the Chains will dig yourself down into a hole. They are better for more icey situations as well. Cheers!

I'm planning on doing the same thing. Jeep tj 2.5L with 35s. I have a set of dana 44's out of a wagoneer and I couldn't seem to get a straight answer regarding the gears. 5:13 works for you? I'm offroading but I need to be able to get there lol can you do 90kph
@DickedShit
@DickedShit Жыл бұрын
Nice, the 5:13's were a big difference and it got my 5th gear somewhat usable again. Mine is strictly a wheeler and I dont go above 70km . If you're going waggy 44's you should look into a 5:38 gear set if they offer it because it feels like you can always go deeper with these 2.5's

I can't blame the ranger driver.. taking a new vehicle out on a track is scary as hell. Especially if you're not made of money. So it's not surprising he's so cautious.
