NO WAY. I was on a sailboat dinner cruise in Costa rica. The water was calm, bright sun no storm. I was so sea sick I wanted to die. It lasted the entire cruise. It was like the exorcist. They would have seen me puking on the table of if I was there....

There are some fairly easy, logical fixes for the sliding table items. Yes, this looks like a luxury-type cruise, but it's not very luxurious to have your drinks, flatware and glasses doing more dancing than you are. My idea: foldable frames (sized to each table) that fit over the table cloth and fasten to the table. Each diner's place is framed with 3-inch high walls and a lower wall in front of diner to make eating easier. Same frames for all place settings and glassware. All resulting in less flying table items.
