We booked direct from Finest. Sometimes it's better. You can compare price and terms like Cancellation terms. I don't like Non refundable. Tripadvisor also show you different sources to book from. I suggest buying Travel medical insurance. Alliance and Generali have good prices. Travel Guard is very expensive. I believe that you need to book a Butler to book reservations which costs a few hundred dollars. You need to book a Premium room for that. There are some areas reserved for Premium rooms. I think it's worth paying extra for that. We would show up at 6 PM at the restaurant to get a table. If you show up later the wait can be long. I suggest you check with the hotel directly and send them an E mail about the procedure as it's important to know before arriving.

Yes the beach is very nice. No need to wear water shoes.

The hotel does not have a private beach. The hotel on the right side has the private beach. But as all beaches are public one can walk across to the other hotel beach and swim from there. The famous beach is about 10 minutes walk away. You can rent umbrellas and lounge chairs there.

Yes Hvar is the most famous of all the many Croatian islands. It's also a party town for young people. There are discotheques on these smaller islands. They go by water taxi at night and have fun.
