I just emailed you guys asking about solutions for very little rainfly coverage on the sides...this is an improvement, but still wish there was a solution to go from awning into tent without getting soaked in a heavy rain storm.

What a great setup. All.the products chosen are really cool. All that awning needs is a little zip door to get up to the tent so you can have it fully ooen

Hi, there are several trade-offs to consider before having an awning with a 'D' zip in the rear. 1) As you only go up and down into the tent maybe only twice a day is it worth compromising the integrity of the awning for this, when you can just fold back the rear arm temporarily and even close it again once you are in the tent? 2) The 'D' zip hole needs to be fairly large to allow an adult to pass through easily, especially when exiting the tent, this has the added risk of falling out of the tent when trying to close the zip when inside the tent. 3) The tension in the canvas will put a lot of strain onto the zip. Even with a high-quality YKK 'waterproof' zip it is likely that overtime this will result in leaking through the zip in rainy conditions. 4) The flap of the 'D' zip needs to fall to the side not onto the rear of the vehicle, otherwise it will interfere with the steps on the ladder creating a potential slip hazard.

If you leave it on the bracket in a packed up tent, it (the fan) will melt.

It's a great setup! We've had our 270xt max for almost 2yrs now and about to purchase a 180 xt max for the opposite side. They are beasts! Love that you have a sleeping system with the mounts on it. Makes it super easy I'm sure.

I'm starting to think this may actually the best Bruder... the lightest of them all by far, so easier to tow/maneuver, better fuel consumption/range, many amenities, and with the rooftop tent sleeping space for four...

Unless the stainless steel hinge pin is isolated from the aluminium frame, then there will be galvanic corrosion. A paint coating is insufficient protection unless you can ensure that there are no wear points. A hard task when travelling offroad.

Hey guys this looks so good! I wish we could get the 79 series here in England too….. Sadly we can’t that I’m aware of anyway! So I’m building my Nissan Navara D40 V6 out. Currently I’m waiting on my Bush tech canopy to arrive, as soon as that’s fitted I’ve already bought and paid for the Bush company AX27 roof tent and the 270 XT MAX awning.. Then it’s a huge road trip planned across to Southern Ireland and the Hebrdean Islands of Islay, Jura and Skye… Then on to Northern Scotland to do a trip called the NC500 a 500 mile pretty much single track road … The wild Atlantic coast of western Ireland and the rough north coast of Scotland will definitely test the gear to the max, especially the winds. Keep up the great content guys!!! Drew
