Great solve, Brent! I took your suggestion from last video to use STARE LINGO DUMPY, and it worked great! I got it on the 4th guess after locking in “S” and knowing “U,” “N,” & “G.” Keep up the nice vids!

Nice solve, Brent! If I am not playing hard mode, I normally start with “CRANE,” “MOUTH,” & “FLIPS.” This allows me to win almost every time, as I’ve gone through all vowels (except “y”) and most of the common consonants.

nice. i won't argue with your success - and you do cover the treacherous xxAxE pattern which i've warned about. on regular mode, i've evolved to: STARE LINGO DUMPY which gets all the vowels plus Y as well as common consonants. also S is almost never in the final position, so i like it in positions 1 or 4

Glad you mentioned your son knows this word or uses it. (?) That it is used by a younger generation sort of explains why it was used today. Took me 5 also as E, O & Y had been eliminated by me in the previous 4 guesses.

When you have the word typed in, say "MELON" at 4:00 why do you delete it add it back in again and then try??

astute question! if you watch the "short" version of the video, you won't see much of the thought processes behind my guesses - there's not enough time. so when i've had MEL on the screen for 10s and then i decide to add ON, i'll retype it for the short version in which you'll only see me saying "let's try MELON". i get comments on the short videos that my guesses look "suspicious" because they don't see the thought process behind each guess
