I have the same creaking sound in my panoramic on my '16 and the dealership showed me how they just lubricate the rubber gasket to eliminate the noise. How would you power that radio any help would be appreciatedthank you.
@EverydayATV25 күн бұрын
@@frankgeis6064 thanks for the kind words. Glad I could help and congrats on the new purchase. I use an old Radio Shack 25A Switching Power Supply that I used to charge my RC racing car batteries with. Most power supplies just have the two output terminals on them, so what I did was get a cigarette lighter plug extension and cut the plug end of it off so that I just had the socket. Amazon may also already sell the plug that way. Then you can plug the radio into the plug. I would not recommend cutting the plug off the radio, as you never know if you’ll end up using it in the car. That’s what happened to mine and I now use the Anytone 778-UV as my base in the house. I love the Radioddity for in my truck. The cigarette light plug makes it easy to remove and out the radio in the center console for storage. Video on that setup coming soon. Here’s a good link with some suggestions. I would say get one that is rated at least 10A. I also have a Tripp Lite 4.5A that also does the job for this 20W radio, but I think it’s pushing it. @ I hear you, but it hasn’t been all bad over the last 10 years. Everything works great on it with one exception. Bluetooth in this truck absolutely sucks. The connection sounds crackly at times and the listening volume is all over the place when the other person is talking. I’ve had several different new phones over the last 10 years and it’s definitely the truck and not my phone. One positive note is I like the fact that since mine was an early build 2025, my Sync screen still has the heated seat buttons by the heated wheel button. Ford removed that not too long afterwards, so you have to use the physical buttons below. It’s the best of both worlds for me….if I only turn on my heated seat, I use the physical buttons below as it’s much easier. If I use the heated wheel and seats, I turn them all on from the Sync screen. Thanks for watching.

@EverydayATVАй бұрын
@@stevehakala8503 I am running the CPS software on an older laptop running Windows 10 (I’m a MAC user). First thing to check is to see if the software sees a com port that the programming cable is plugged into. In software if I go to Set/Set Com, there is nothing there in the dropdown when the cable is not plugged in to the computer. As soon as I plug it in, I can see COM6 is now there and is the only choice. At that point I would plug the other end into the mic plug on the radio. If you don’t see a com port listed after you plug the cable into the computer, you might need or not have the right driver for the chip in the cable. Check Radioddity’s website for a download if needed. If you’re seeing the com port but nothing happens when you select “Program/Read From Radio”, make sure the plug is firmly seated into the radio. I have had occasions where I’ve plugged the mic back in and while all the buttons, including the PTT work fine on the microphone, and the radio responds, no one can hear me. If I then unplug the mic and then re-plug it back in and make sure I hear the click sound, then the mic works fine and I have no issues. Wondering if maybe you experienced that same type of connection issue with the programming cable. If all else fails, contact Radioddity customer service at their website. They’ve been pretty helpful for me. Good luck and let us know you find.
