I am working on the ra 300 trimetrics here and the uk. How would you changed rhe battery to set the time and date. The instructions manual says it would be good for 10 years for the battery to work. But i think this machines battery was never changed foe the past 22 years. Please reply.

My understanding is that Johnson Controls endorses the NFPA 18A 7.7 category Encapsulator Agent such as F-500EA to effectively suppress Li-Ion Battery fires and mitigate toxic off-gassing. Annex 4.3 addresses Li-Ion Battery fires.

What about a sodium fire or magnesium fire? I’ve heard that they are almost impossible to put out because they are oxidizers.

Short attention span? I hope it is long enough to discharge fully extinguisher ;) Magnesium and sodium are metals not oxidizers, but burn really hot and react violently with water leading to thermal decomposition of it into oxygen and hydrogen. Sodium reacts with water violently even at room temperature. Lithium is also very reactive.

Very interesting, thank you. I expect there is an earlier step that can be taken by the designer of the installation to monitor the performance of the battery before or during off gassing that you can map to your system, I.e. the batteries are at a known state and there are many, so any deviation in a battery module will leave the tolerance of the “safe state” by means of monitoring electrically. Any deviant modules can then be verified by your system to say whether they are off gassing. There should be an isolation or removal of that module in any case. If it is off gassing then your method applies for the next steps.

Try to be the first appointment of the day for your fitting. Yeah someone will clean the hood between used but if they're rushing or if they really don't care, it's not gonna get cleaned right.

if we need 2 strokes, do we need to wait 1 minute between the first stroke and the second stroke? or we dont need wait and do the second stroke?

There is a wait time between each pump stroke specified on the instructions in each tube kit. The time varies but ranges from 30 sec to 1.5 min generally between each pump stroke. Many tubes specify 1 pump stoke for common measurement ranges. Additional pump strokes are sometimes noted on the instructions to offer a 2nd or 3rd measurement range of that tube.
