Larger print area for sure on this printer. They are all klipper printers, with comparable speeds and similar klipper features. The main difference is the lack of multi-color support for the ender-3 v3, there is no AMS-lite equivalent here.

Certainly seems odd that vacuum packed filament bags aren't fully dry. That definitely puts a kink in methods needed to help keep filament dry. So is +-25% the goal for dry filament? I would have expected lower value. I have a Sovol SH02 filament dryer which has an onboard humidity meter. Really not sure about it's accuracy however. I have some older PLA (3+ years old) that I know is wet and I'm trying to dry it out in the SH02. I'm starting the drying at 50C for 16 hrs and trying to watch humidity to see when it gets around 25%. It started in the low 30s and has climbed to near 40% after 6 hours. Guessing this is expected since the PLA should be releasing moisture as it continues to dry. But I'm wondering how long this may actually take to get the humidity down to 25%. Would be interested in what you think? Also is it possible to over dry filament? Any downsides to keeping filament in heated dry boxes for longer? Thanks.

Awsome video! Dose laser engravers produce fumes? Can i use it in an apartment? Im looking to engrave stainless steal is it hard to make a multicolor engraving?
@HoffmanEngineering24 күн бұрын
All lasers will produce fumes and fine particles. They vaporize the material, so that needs to be vented somewhere. Companies do make fume extractor (also called air purifiers) for the lasers though. So if you cutting indoors, you'll need an enclosure and fume extractor.

You can import your own images. Lightburn is pretty easy to get up and running with. Might take a little time to get familiar with how to adjust the settings you need, but the manual is also pretty good. Finally, I order most of my plywood from Amazon. 12 inch, 3mm thick birch plywood.

@Sm0ke_And_Las3rsАй бұрын
The factory enclosure and exhaust are under valued items, and are a nice addition. They are lower costs items that are generally accessories, that you need when you really start cutting things that smoke easily or smell... The lack of honeycomb insert is crazy. Every machine at this price point should have some sort of insert/tray/workspace. Just my 2 cents...
@HoffmanEngineeringАй бұрын
Yeah, it's an interesting choice not to include a tray/panel. I guess people are far more likely to purchase a honeycomb panel than an enclosure, so they include the enclosure knowing people will also most likely purchase the panel as well.
