It's been too long, but I know some of that will be coming from whatever I had in my flash of wonderous physik and then I would have had several talismans equipped (some of which are giving buffs as well). What I use now largely comes from the DLC and isn't in the base game, so wouldn't be that useful to you sorry!

If you haven't tried the lasers already, I think they are a substantially easier option than what I tried to do in this video.

The controls have a very steep and difficult learning curve, which can initially be really frustrating. Eventually though after playing long enough, I was genuinely surprised that it ended up feeling almost second nature and surprisingly easy to actually do what I wanted. There are definitely some annoyances, but once you're used to the controls they are oddly intuitive. But the learning curve is really steep, but at the same time I'm glad they didn't sacrifice any of the depth the PC version had to make the controls on console easier to play.

I fixed this by skipping through his initial dialog fast to get to the amulet. Then when he got stuck, going into the map and back reminded him he needed to leave.

I do have Mikiri counter and did it immediately against Issen once he properly popped out. I went for a very safe strategy here and didn't want to rely on him doing the lightning, which if you're very lucky sometimes he just spams making this very easy when you can predictably lightning reversal him. In the third phase I was baiting him into doing a specific thing and just being slow about it.

I recommend the upgrades to stagger, pulse cells and such obviously. In terms of abilities, the dodge ambush is actually really good, because you can quickly attack immediately when sprinting or dodging, which you need to do a lot of. It improves the attack of both of these letting you hit pretty hard while still being defensive. At the same time, I also recommend the throwables upgrade to just toss shit at him and try to blitz him if you get him low (he's really easy to hit with a lot of throwables). Otherwise always focus on stagger and anything that improves attack. Another useful upgrade is the one that gives you one fable slot even after dying, which can be important for a few weapons. Edit: In NG+ the Black Market merchant in the Malum district sells all throwables in infinite amounts, so don't be afraid to grind the Chapter IX Ergo spot (it's on my channel too if you need the location) for a bit and then just stock up. You can 100% cheese every boss in the game by spamming a shit ton of throwables if you get truly annoyed.

It's pretty decent but you screw up the timing you'll eat shit sadly. This was basically safe and I wanted my platinum trophy, so I made 100% sure to rely only on what I was confident in.

I don't know TBH. There are parts of this fight that are simply nuts. Like he can fully do a certain combination of spells and then spam melee attacks that are simply impossible to avoid, dodge or do anything about as each one needs a different reaction to avoid but you can't do all three at once (running from the orb of disruption shots, parrying the melee attacks and dodging the wave spam). My goal always becomes get him down low enough to spam him down with throwables, especially remembering the shotput can break stagger.

It was pretty funny TBH. I'm used to this from the good old days of Call of Duty on PC, where you quicksaved in a place then got instantly shot from like 7 guys. You just have to find the right set of movements to get away :P

Pretty much. The first level of the game is basically E1M1 from Doom, which is as on the nose as it can get.

KZbin lost them to the warp. Presumably when they replace their astropaths they will appear.

Well things got REALLY real in the Warp and the poor guys never made it. We've sent additional ships out to replace them, eventually.

Every weapon so far has been fun to use. Makes me very happy.

I am very happy with it and it's giving me exactly what I wanted.

@@IAmAlpharius20 It's actually been hugely refreshing. It's not a big game by any means, but it runs at 60 FPS and it hasn't crashed even once. First game I've played this year without issues. How good or potentially sad that is given the current state of triple AAA games especially, is up to you.

The campaign is broken into three chapters of about 7ish levels each from the look of things. I am on mission 6. The game on the harder difficulties ramps up in challenge as it goes along, with some of the later Heretic Purges being clown cars of demons and chaos space marines. There are a lot of secrets, but upgrades don't persist between levels and so they're more like old school power ups. The exception is the mechanicus symbol, which upgrades a weapon for an entire level. I am definitely enjoying the game a lot and it's exactly what I wanted.

@@Turtlesism sweet sounds awesome, I love games in the vein of doom, blood, Quake. Are the enemies mostly one or two shots? I plan to put it on the hardest difficulty. Think it'll be challenging? So it's $26.99 cdn for me, about $33. Think it's worth it?

​@@benprins8240 The cultists go down easily but there are very tough enemies, you can see how this goes in my later videos and that's only on hard (there is a difficulty above that). I think it's worth it and I'm really enjoying it.

@@benprins8240 They take around 30 minutes or so. They aren't really different each time, but if you're going for all the achievements it will definitely require a couple of tries (especially to find all the secrets, some of which seem very well hidden).

I absolutely love it, but I also fully went in with my expectations set that it would be a good time smacking things with a chainsword and shooting them into a bloody mess. It's not going to wow with story or narrative here, you're there to murder a LOT of demons and it's a great time doing it.

I was mostly just dancing around in a circle, but you do have a lot of momentum/movement that I start using a lot more as I got better at it. Especially the dash to run through enemies as it also stuns them.

I have not got the meltagun just yet, but an upgraded plasma gun is really good!

Yeah these traversal ones are hard and there is no difficulty setting/option for making them easier unlike combat.

@@jerichojeudy Yeah they made two of them, Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous. IMO Wrath is pretty good, but Kingmaker on PS5 is apparently very poor optimization/crash wise so I'm unlikely to try that one.
