Memories of being a teenager when this came out.....getting high and listening to this without a care in the world......thanks for being a part of my life and making it so damned good!

Great job, but just wonder is there a way to separate John and George's guitar? Or is that the most we can do so far?

Is it me, or does Paul shine even brighter as a singer and musician on George's songs than his own?

I made this same version back on college on my cassette. Intro song combined with reprise song. Be well. :).

Esta música e "Taxman" firam muito injustiçadas na coletânea 1962-1966.

Paul’s top part is incredible , ya gotta love George’s material!

I always loved John’s voice on this in the voicing of the harmony bits. He’s the middle harmony which is a little higher than maybe he’s comfortable. I love how it sounds. Rubber Soul era John’s voice is my favorite.

Oddly, the wikipedia page for this song cites Jonathan Gould's book "Can't Buy Me Love: The Beatles, Britain and America" as saying John is singing a 10th below George. Clearly not the case

He was a great actor. He also provided the voice for Texas Pete (or Tex as he is known to others) in SuperTed.

I can’t understand tha bassline at all but it sounds so good combined with everything else. I guess that’s the genius of McCartney.
@barnabywilde3747 ай бұрын
i believe the entire song is locked into the key of C... with no other chords BUT C, so McCartney obliged as well with his bass.
@jamesgibbons55528 ай бұрын
This, And I Love Her and She’s Leaving Home are McCartney’s best songs in my opinion. His ‘darker’ songs are by far more interesting.

Just heard the Stevie Wonder song playing in my local cafe. Never heard it before, but immediately picked up on the shared melody. Had to ask the cafe owner what the song was. Felt like Bowie had left a message that appeared to me years after his death 😢
