I used the Apprentice 15 floats, with lots of modifications. The strut setup was pretty challenging, but it would work fine with a more conventional strut setup just was well I think. Thanks! These are floats for the E-flite Appreciate, and I scratch built aluminum mounting struts from streamlined tubing. The mounts are 2 inch long ply, epoxied into the foam. It would be fine with a more simple conventional mounting strut setup, but I replicated the full scale system because it is so odd and cool looking. These floats are EFLA550

I've seen the beechcraft float plane on lake cour d'Alene in person it's absolutely beautiful. And once i saw eflight had a twin beech I went to find floats found this video and was going to ask the exact same question. It looks amazing man!

The FM radio actually performed very well, and I chose to use it because I was using 2.4GHz for video on the airplane

@@meulaso3660 it was an analog 2.4GHz video system much like what we still commonly use on 5.8GHz. Those systems were in use (mostly for security applications) before the use of wifi took over the band. You also couldn't fly with video and control on the same frequency, and the 2.4GHz/FM radio combo served us really well in the early FPV days. I started flying with wireless video starting in 1998, but I never flew with my video feed until 2007.

It works very well! I had to add a little tail weight, but not much, like 1/2 oz or something. Just make sure you do something to secure the firewall back into the fuse, don't just glue it to the foam.

@@aaronredbaron Good call. Have you run into any issues with the nitro fuel and the foam? and did you have to adjust the thrust angle at all? Thank you!

@@trustyoldiron5416 I set the thrust angle with the ol' TLAR method (that looks about right) and I found some foam safe fuel proofing stuff, it's like modern dope. Deluxe materials EZ dope, definitely want to do something to protect the foam. Mine is surviving fine with a seal coat.
