It was Bonnie Casey and Daystar, not Morning Star, and the trio was Take 3. There was a cd "Classic Take 3" of 23 tracks from the two Take 3 albums, "Jesus This Is for You" and "Songs of the Morning.". They wrote all the songs from these albums, with Bonnie Letcher Casey contributing the most. It is all excellent work. I wish there also had been CDs of "Bonnie Casey and Daystar" and the Bonnie Casey album "Maybe Soon."

I thrifted this album today. I never heard of Don, but I picked it up on a hunch. It's pretty great, and he has a great voice!

I fail to understand WHY Neil Young was so big in the 1980s and Bert Mayne was not.

The guitar riff at the end was added by the studio musician and was never part of the original draft.

We are best of friends and after all these years I asked him about that solo fill piece and that was his reply. Common practise in studio to use fill in musicians to track parts in songs.

This song exists somewhere between Richie Valens, Everly Brothers, and Art Garfunkel. Great find!

I saw Marie in Henniker New Hampshire back in the 70s. I still think her version of Sheebag Sheemor is one of the loveliest recordings ever done.

This is gorgeous. If it's like the rest of the album I may just pick this one up.

It still has some melodic songs but also some more cheerful ones. Always in clear 60s sound. Overall I'd say it's a good album in general but nothing special.

Truly it is a blessing from my Lord to see this in my KZbin lineup. I sometimes even listen to it again though it was so very long ago. I hear my high voice destroying the night.

The band also had a guitarist Mike Woods, whom I replaced in 1967. Although we weren't particularly successful I really enjoyed playing with this band, a lovely bunch of people. Sadly Brian passed away this year.

Something about this reminds me of JK & Co's "Fly" This is an amazing track and the echo makes it even better in my opinion

Starts out like a Byrds song. Warm vocals. Soft harmonies. Twangy guitar. Honey sweet garage ballad. Nice one, Psych Span Ty

Soft pop garage tune from Michigan. They sound a bit like The Buckinghams from Chicago. Nice organ riff and guitar solos. A very splendid ditty. Ty, Psych Span

Greetings Psych Span, Nice folk song. The lyrics made me think about life. In my life, I've always tried to be a true good brother and a friend to all, to treat people the way I would like to be treated. You know, the golden rule. ✌️♥️ PS

I worked at the Gazebo in FDL in the 70s, and I remember him. My friend Beth was the bartender and I was the front desk clerk...I believe I have this album. Somewhere, or I may have borrowed it out... there was a song that had the lyrics. See you later, Gazebo, or was that the name? Wish there were more of his songs on here...thank you for having this one....
