May I suggest “Don’t Cry My Lady Love” with Quicksilver Messenger Service to get an idea of how using Nicky on piano can turn a song into a work of art? It will bring you to tears.

So glad I have the privilege of seeing him perform live

I cannot wait to see this film. My favourite pianist of all time. Beautiful player. So sad that he struggled so much with his health and disappointing that the top acts that benefitted so much from his contributions weren't sufficiently motivated to see him looked after financially.

Have 24k+ songs on my ipod...6k alone the Rolling Stones (shit ton of bootlegs). My three favorite Nicky Hopkins moments with the Stones are "Rocks Off," "Jigsaw Puzzle," and "Following the River." Had my dad over for a bonfire/cookout a few months ago...ipod on shuffle...and a recording of the Rolling Stones 1972 tour on bootleg came on...and my dad asked "whose playing the keys?" Odd question from my father. None other than Nicky Hopkins. I can't remember what song it was, or where it was recorded at...but Nicky was shining through.

Oh so looking forward to this! Nicky is my all-time favourite pianist. I've listened to him in absolute awe all my life, since before I knew it was Nicky playing. I just knew there was something amazing about whoever it was! Glorious, Diamond Tiaras, How I miss him!
