I’m looking to do the BIKC next year once I’m more comfortable with the TeamSport tracks because my main track is TopGear karting at the minute. Any tips on how to do well at TeamSport tracks? Amazing racing though
@paulclegg86423 жыл бұрын
Best tip is just pratice and sign up for the membership and do members races, you will learn lots from racing members and you lap time will soon be at a good pace
@RDFContent3 жыл бұрын
Borderline dangerous is that track when going under the bridge. The amount of times I have come round that bend & someone has spun out and you then end up smashing into them as you simply cannot stop in time is in its double figures.
@paulclegg86423 жыл бұрын
I know its a blind corner and the kart is unsettled going under the bridge, if someone is there you have very little chance to avoid. Very fun track
@RBravo823 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, great vid this, having never been on your track this was the only reference I had for the BIKC Heavyweights yesterday. I loved the place, a great track but very difficult to overtake when in a train. The wooden bit up top is mega, suits my style perfectly! I could have done with a visit to dial in that last twisty section though, I felt like I drove it a different way every lap! I reckon I left about 0.3/0.4 on the table, that said I wasn't too unhappy with my 41.8 though.

Thanks buddy glad you found it useful 👍 how did you get on with the BIKC and what's your local

@@paulclegg8642 I’m from Trafford, we spoke after the 45 minute race you did recently I was pleased with how I raced. I didn’t drop a place all night and I finished higher than where I started in every run. But I didn’t fair well in the random start slots. We ran 2 groups of 6. I started my heats in 3rd 4th and 5th. Logic tells you everyone should get a start from P1or2 , 3or4 and then 5or6. But they didn’t seem to work that out! 😂 I got a 2nd, 3rd and 4th, which somehow put me 8th on the grid in the final, we didn’t do A&B, we just had one final. Anyway I finished 4th on track but got a penalty for contact and ended up 5th. I can’t even dispute it as I’ve no memory of it! 😂

@paulclegg86423 жыл бұрын
@@RBravo82 arr yes I remember you, only six drivers per group thats a shame. Cov can be difficult to overtake and with the short races it makes the importance of it more. I went Saturday for the first time and managed a 33.9 and like you say im used to Nottingham which is a slippery track and its nice to have some grip, also with it being a public session was full of idiots and constant flags, tracks too small for 16 karts imo as always catching a group and being held up but hopefully some more time to knock off with decent drivers on track
