How do badminton players get all those reflexes, I mean look at that speed and within that distance. We're talking about millisecond here, how do they train that?

What a display of crazy level basics & fundamentals Every 1st smash is used as a setup instead of kill. Rock solid defense using mostly lifts to pressure a weak smash and then converting it into attack opportunity. No superfluous fancy shots and very disciplined shot selection without overdoing it and making mistake. Japan really do basics well.
@andremalmgrenjensen41052 жыл бұрын
They are definitely playing fast, but the video is sped up a bit, to make it look even more impressive.
@ari-athbadminton0301 Жыл бұрын
As a MD player I would say good matches feels that fast at times. Those players were one gear above what our national team squad is doing, very unreal physical abilities.

Would you argue that every sports video have sped up to make it more impressive?

I agree, the umpire's head is turning fast even the head twitches are fast

No it is not, the movements look natural from the players and also people in the background, the wide angle makes it seem fast

@@heyseed2292 ah,now that makes more sense.In the US,badminton is considered a backyard or barbecue casual game and not a real sport. Not surprised that you were shocked with this normal badminton match.
@heyseed22923 жыл бұрын
Yeah where I lived it was somewhat common for average people to play in our backyards like you said. I wouldn’t say that we didn’t consider it a real sport though... kind of like how we used to play basketball in the driveway with a hoop on my garage but basketball was still considered a real sport.
@JJ-ib3bn3 жыл бұрын
@@heyseed2292 I appreciate that you can accept different types of sport.But do other American people claimed that badminton is a 'sissy Tennis'? I just copied this text from a blecher report , hq is at San Francisco.And it is about the least deserving olympic sport.Guess what?Badminton is the first on the list. 1.Badminton Seriously. What little boy (or girl, for that matter) thinks to himself at age seven, “My dream is to be an Olympic shuttlecocker one day.” And yet, badminton is going on 20 years at the Olympics. What part of life does badminton re-create? What important facets does it carry over from our history and culture? Nothing. This is my theory on how badminton got its start: a bunch of bored duchesses in hoopskirts drank too much sherry one evening, found part of a dead bird lying in the courtyard, and hit it back and forth with tennis racquets until they discovered that it was a dead bird, then ran away screaming. The next time they were drunk, they did it again, and lo, a sport was birthed! You can tell me that the shuttlecock travels at 260km/h (about 150mph), but I’ll tell you to get a life. How unprofessional it is when trash talking a sport that they don't know.
