An OUTSTANDING playlist of singular songs...BUT... I checked Wiki, and it confirmed that the title of Norma Tanega's oddball tune is 'Walking My Cat Named Dog". I also learned that as an experimental musician, among other accomplishments, she wrote songs for Dusty Springfield... and composed the theme song for the film and TV series 'What We Do In The Shadows'.

My mom owned the album. Norma s a very talented musician and the recordings super-clean, aka, High Standards. I still remember playing this on our wood tv/stereo cleaning the house Saturday mornings.

Good catch...just another rushed error. Just check the record label next time. I don't like to see those "BUTs". Can you get rid of the paragraph returns when you comment...thank you.

Liked Sha Na Na, til I saw them live. Bowser showed up at least drunk as a Skunk. They sucked that night. REO Speedwagon opened for them and blew them out of the venue!

Moving through the 60s...and now we're getting somewhere. I'll be putting this playlist on repeat, because it has a handful of personal favorites, singing about birds & bees, lies, hiding love, lonely New York, birds up your nose. And I can't hear 'No Matter What Shape'...without remembering all those big bellies in the Alka Seltzer commercial.

Sonny, you've done it again. What an eclectic group of songs. I guess a lot of people know that "No Matter What Shape Your Stomach's In" was a commercial for Alka-Seltzer. It showed people on the street just at stomach level, very clever. "Twine Time" is another song I could put on loop for a hour. Thanks again ! I'll try a link to the Alka-Seltzer commercial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5eYeYJvq92aeq8si=J6OmGP0W1PTvH_lE

Eclectic for sure...hard to find one hit wonders when The Beatles, Stones, DC5, Beach Boys, 4 Seasons and other big groups were filling the charts...thanks for commenting. I remember the commercial, thanks for posting the link.
