I love Siemens NX. Ive bern using since college in 2001, it was still known as Unigraphics then (V18.1 was last one I remember using before renamed NX). I love the software. Very powerful although some of the 5 axis paths have a steep learning curve. Always good for the company you work for to bring someone in to do training. Newest version Ive used so far is NX12.

Sadly our Mazak's do not have the shaping option. But its a cool technology! Always thought this has to be donee with a post processor which uses M19 spindle orientation, but its really as simple as giving in a contour!

Excellent stuff!

No more constraining parts on Add Component, but you can with Assemble, but no Preview. But Add component still has Preview, utterly worthless without being able add constraints. The direction seems to be “design like you would model clay”.

How to make it with Mazak

This feature is quite useful for resize blend IE if you scale a die block and want to bring the bolt holes back to correct clearance size. NX appears to be doing this in the background of the edge blend command and lagging it waaayyy down though (I click an edge and similar edges highlight blue after a few seconds of lockup)

Please answer me... I use SOLIDWORKS and inventor for many yeares... Recently i move to nx siemens...i think nx is good software but is only expensive...i dl an install nx ... Nx is confused and bad complicated, the simplest tools is very complicate in nx and there isnt many facilities ....i dont belive that... In totaly nx structure is very bad design...bad UX design, bad color and inviroment...in structure inviroment you cant define a simple 3d sketches and define dimentions, in frame generate mode(structure design) you cant choos difrent standar(you havnt any profile type as 100*100*2mm) There is very very limited learning content for simple question... Nx chenged ux design yourself, but its not good chenges, i was a Siemens fan for many years, but this experience changed my mind...i need asnwer beacuse i still love nx
