Picked me a 1996 mercury grand marquis blue with digital dash and 106000 miles for 600.00 from a estate sale. Runs and drives great new tires and always kept up on oil changes etc. When I bought had a lcm bad and would keep lights on inside running battery dead ordered me a used one off ebay and been driving it ever since so far put 4500 miles on it ready for the oil change

I have a 91 and I’m having an issue getting the A/C to blow out the dash vents, it’s stuck on floor only. There isn’t any vacuum at the switch on the dash

This was very helping. I’m planning to purchase a 2006 mercury grande marquis. The only issue it has is the air compressor. Maybe I can buy the air compressor and pay someone to fix it as I don’t have tools to do So. It seems simple tho.

It could always be a sensor but if it’s intermittent in my experience it’s usually a bad connection. Typically for me if its a sensor it will just not work.

Hello! I am speaking from experience. I had a 2001 and a 2003. Did a lot's of part swap. Here is what I recommend that you do if you are using the 2000 engine to put into 2003: Swap the oil pans and oil pick up tube. Swap the exhaust manifolds. Swap the motor mounts. Swap the valve covers. Swap the transmission as well. Also, keep as many parts out of the Older one. If I were you I would also keep the catalytic convertors...You can also swap the digital dash (if you get the old wiring harnesses) and do some wirings. Good luck!!!

I really appreciate the advice. Can you tell me why you would keep the 2003 transmission? The 03s trans fluid had a bad look and smell to it. Im trying to figure out if it would be worth saving.
@kamijoon4788
@kamijoon4788 Жыл бұрын
@@parttimebuilds4504 The 03 transmission is ideal because your 2003 CPU is programmed to work it. I would also do a trans oil and filter change. I would also put a Quart of "Lube Guard Platinum" additive. It's a silver bottle with the part number #63010. I used them before when I flushed my very old and nasty transmission fluid. It helps shift very smoothly.

How many pound can I pull up whit that lawn movers? Which model is that best?
@parttimebuilds4504

Im not sure. I only used it because it was a free mower given to me. However I did pull a 1999 mercury around the yard with it, so I knew it would be able to pull the kids.

Very good job. Nice to see the whole family involved. I built a barrel train about three years ago for the kids in the neighborhood as a Christmas train ride. I made the riding mower into a locomotive. I took the hood off and cut a plastic barrel to look like the boiler of an older train. I made a train whistle out of 3/4" pvc pipe. I would like to send you my pics of my train. How can I send you the pictures? Thanks. Ken

Split some rubber hose and slip it around the opening you cut with a little adhesive works good to get rid of a sharp edge.
