I can’t believe I’m seeing this. I was a camper at Camp Voyager for 5 summers back in the 1050s. I remember Charlie well, along with his son and three daughters. His children are running the camp now, and I’m confident it’s as well run now as it was back then.

It was good for what it was and where it was sold. We looked forward to it on our trips.

always wondered, why hike when you've got the lakes?

Ultimately, the decision to hike or canoe depends on your personal interests, physical fitness, location, and the kind of experience you want to have. This crew wanted a unique challenge and a new way to explore the Boundary Waters.

Not a bad start guys...put in some content....names of lakes, campsite options, shelter stuff, maybe food choices...been across the kek at least 20 times in the last 50 years (end to end) and there's a lot more than pretty sunsets...for me, the kek has been a mainstay of real life experience...thanks for your vid

Doooooood!!! We have been canoe trippin' in the Q for years now but have never entered at Beaverhouse. Due to remote border crossing closings we are going to enter there for the first tie this Spring. Your trip looked amazing. Please tell me the route you guys took. Thanks!

Hi Pat! We didn't actually enter at Beaverhouse but it was sorta our final destination. We entered from Moose Lake at Prairie Portage and went up to Agnes, Kawnipi, Shelley, Keats, Chatterton, Russell, Sturgeon, Burntside, Quetico, Beaverhouse, Namakan River, and exited south of Lac La Croix.

@@alexkvanli I see, thanks for the reply. We are looking at a loop that will go something like... Quetico, Badwater, Your, Snow, Trail, Bentonite Creek, Sturgeon, Burntside, Jean, etc. But sounds like you didn't see much of this water. Should be a good trip anyway. Thanks again

hard to place the last 10 minutes of the film along the river. The big whitewater scene seemed a bit larger than martin Falls and with such land heights and barren ground.

Camp Voyageur is a wonderful place...great memories and lessons----from when you're a little guy struggling to carry your weight on a portage to when you're older and learning to be a leader by helping and encouraging the younger guys. Great lessons for all and run by an amazing family.

That was excellent! Both of my older brothers were Boy Scouts, and I was familiar with some camping techniques by way of reading the Boy Scout Handbook, when I arrived at camp at 11 years old in 1967. But the camp in the North Woods was the real deal! I went on to join the BSA, and all of those experiences have helped me in life. Techniques have changed, but the core values are the same (mostly; some changes are for the better). I carried all of that into my life as a mountain biker. And even if you aren't on the trail, the values will always be there, to help you "do the right thing".

Nice fish fellas. You know Quetico is barbless hooks only, right? Don't get caught poaching - fines are STEEP.

Great Place. Great People. Great Times---Can't wait for my boys to get a bit older so that they can maybe have the same experiences that I had in the North Woods and more specifically in the BWCA. Camp Voyageur is the best...
