I think dexter's computer actually a highly advanced ai that is connected to the laboratory as a means of sustaining itself... Computer has been shown to have a personality and it varies from episode to episode but it seems to be consistent that she is what maintains the lab when dexter isn't using it...also i'm surprised you didn't mention the episode Game for a Game where computer seems to passively acknowledge that dexter is cruel and egotistical while seeming to favor Dee Dee more... That could be a possible reason for how she is able to easily enter the lab the computer just lets her in because she likes Dee Dee more than Dexter....

My Dexoverse can have it so that the Lab in a sense wants Dexter to be happy but at the same time it wants him to grow as a person, hence why it allowed Dee Dee to wreck his things so many times and is critical to his ego and childish cruelty. In effect, it was teaching him humility as well as developed his affinity for science and stuff. Hell, the day Dexter meets the Powerpuff Girls in their teen years is when the lab starts to improve as its happy to see him become more human because of those three becoming interested in his well being after all the horror stories they've heard regarding Dexter's older sister.

@Reapermaskhybrid wow a lot of Dexter fanfiction these days! That sounds like an interesting concept i'm writing one as well... Although i'm mostly focusing on art and posting stuff on my socials but that isn't interesting theory.... Dexter REALLY needs to stop being so egotistical.... I always thought him and Dee Dee represent the right and left brain... You know one side deals with creativity and emotions while the other side is more logical and critical of everything

@@MespoinaStill, with the Powerpuff Girls they nurture his humanity at a critical juncture, specifically when high school hits and the hellish tribulations of puberty are only gonna compound his existing problems, so what else is there to do but make sure he gets on track to becoming a superhero? That's what the trio plans on molding him into, all while trying to make sure any potential romance doesn't jeopardize the task at hand, not that Blossom or Buttercup don't like Dexter, but they wanna ensure he isn't blinded by them either.

@Reapermaskhybrid this is a nice story i would definitely read it...tell me where you post it and i'll check it out but at the same time please don't tell me this is a love triangle.... The trope is kind of overused.... and I get it dexter is a cool guy who wouldn't want to date him but uhhhhhh if his arc in your story is to have him grow as a person doesn't a love triangle seem a little counterintuitive i mean at this point that could just end up stroking his ego even more you know

Right, but at the same time Dexter's been trying to handle these five super-powered versions of some schoolyard thugs that have been hassling him for years, so having some backup would be appreciated, plus the Powerpuffs were born with phenomenal powers, Dextee only got his because he had to modify himself to some harrowing extents so he's less likely to get hurt too badly, so chances are constantly needing to upgrade and survive his bullies' seemingly never-ending campaign of fear across their hometown of Genius Grove would take a lot out of him. Also, Blossom would make sure Dexter behaves around her, Buttercup, and Bubbles, they all start to effectively reprogram him for heroic intent, with Bubbles especially making sure Dexter becomes more empathetic and Buttercup becoming Dex's girlfriend but not without setting boundaries. @@Mespoina

I wish modern cartoons would go back to an episodic structure. I'm honestly sick and tired of everything having some kind of overarching plot that complicates things. We need more shows like Dexter, SpongeBob, Gumball, or even early Adventure Time. Now, you can mix the two and have an overarching plot while maintaining an episodic nature, Samurai Jack, InuYasha (one of the few animes that falls into that category), and Avatar: The Last Airbender do that excellently. In Samurai Jack, the overarching plot is getting back to the past, in Avatar it's defeating the Fire Lord, in InuYasha it's reforming the Shikon Jewel, but all three of those series are mostly comprised of self-contained episodes that either directly or vaguely feed into the main plot. It makes the overall series more fascinating and really, really helps hype up the finale!

I mean. Even if it is. Itll never be confirmed that way. This theory is another comp out ending "nothing mattered because it never happened" and that just sucks So pops death didnt matter? Skips fighting clorgbain every hundred years doesnt matter? All the growth and development rigby went through to graduate highschool didnt matter? Mordecais love life struggles didnt matter because he never actually struggled to begin with? Yeah no. I dont beleive this theory and i never will. All it does is undo years and 8 seasons worth of 1 of my favourite shows.

So I think this could be an interesting theory. But what would help is if you went really deep into it. Find things from the show that could be spun as convincing evidence to prove the theory true. For example, look at the house, it is literally in the middle of nowhere, there are no power lines nothing! but we constantly see the characters watching TV and with electricity, not to mention the Computer that seems just a little too advance... almost as if it is an AI disguised as a common computer that fits in that time period... A simulated Time period, and the computer acts as an overseer to make sure the simulated events do not cause the tears in reality caused by courage to become too out of control. that's why it always seems to provide a solution to courage's problems because its putting an end to the tests.... something like that
