honestly i know people hate it but the one that made me cry was in the movie i choose you, i feel like that movie was absolutely made for thenolder generation, when Ash gives is iconic Pallet town speech from the pilot and in the movie the first time he turns his hat around is right before he dies, and the emtion of pikachu seeing his spirit and the hat float down and he gives one last "pika?" 😢 and puts the hat down over his silhouette as he fades away, he did everything to protect pikachu, and when pikachu final reveals after 20 years why he never got in his pokeball hit deep. people complain about pikchu talking but he wasn't actually talking it was a near death hallucination from Ash, the whole scene was directed perfectly and once Ash died Pikachu unleashed an electric shock so hard it even stunned the legendary Pokémon shifting their perspectives on humans

"Ever since he was 10" he says that as if ash was still not 10 years old when his character was replaced with another character. (Yes mathematically he should be between 16-18 years old but anime wise he is still 10 years old)
