21:59 another detail about her witch form, is how it was a day of the dead modify going on, with the skeleton and flowers, possibly symbolize that to Homura, her death wouldn't be something to feel sad about it, but rather something to celebrate

This leads me to wonder, how does Gojo see other people? The same way they see him? For their potential and power? Does he also put labels on people?

Gojo is a VERY close second. People make the gap between the two (regardless of who they’re arguing for) larger then it should be. Anyway with the same amount of time as Sukuna (especially because of his six eyes) Gojo could definitely become the most resourceful as he’s practically matched him on most occasions, whilst having the better CT/sure hit (but not overall domain due to barrier less) but that’s up for debate really.
@inoreviews14 ай бұрын
I do agree, he is the most resourceful sorcerer to date. It’s shown that he’s lasted over several eras regardless of his form, as well as cleared two of them while alive for good reason

Yeah, for example gojo's limitless creates infinite space between the numbers 1 and 2, 1 being him and 2 being those around him, sukuna's cleave just cuts through everything between 3 and -1 which bypasses gojo's infinity since it doesn't have to go through 1 or 2

Post 236 spoilers: It really pissed me off how people said Gojo's final moments "assassinated his character" when it did not at all. It built Gojo's true character more than anything. Gojo uses his confident self as a mask around his students and other people. His power seperated himself from others which he himself says in his dying moments. Fighting against Sukuna tore off the mask Gojo wore and allowed him to actually show off his true personality. He's not enlightened, he's human. He gets off to using his power, he loves it, he's just like Sukuna and Kashimo. It's only when he is killed that he is able to admit this fact. I think this is even paralleled by Toji's death where Toji only thought of Megumi and Megumi's mother. Even a man who had purposefully pushed himself away from everyone in his life, someone as close to complete loneliness still thought of the only two people he loved as he died. Gojo, who had pushed himself to a similar kind of loneliness by his own admission, he thought of those he was closest to in life as his final moments went by

I feel that it's up to the person. Some people would rather look at a story critically and a story that holds up more as a piece of art with less flaws in its writing and presentation would likely be better than something that's full of flaws and isn't really saying something much deeper than that, but you could still enjoy that less deep and more flawed movie more. For example, I would say it's a fairly common take to say that Citizen Kane is a better written and better made film than, say, The Phantom Menace, but I'd say I enjoyed TPM a lot more than I did with Citizen Kane (enjoyed both plenty obviously, but we'll go with the narrative that I enjoyed TPM a lot more). But I wouldn't really ever say that The Phantom Menace is nearly as well written as something like Citizen Kane. Like I said, it's probably up to the person and their standards when critiquing and judging works because some people judge solely off how much they resonated with a work or characters (which is perfectly fine; it's subjective after all), but some people like to judge a work's quality based on more critical analysis. So even if I like a garbage CGI fest more than something like The Godfather (which I would never, but you get the point), I'd still be able to say that The Godfather is a better written and made movie.

*MANGA SPOILERS* Really great video, especially with 236 in retrospect, I would love to hear your thoughts on that chapter. I think there's still so many different ways for Gojo's character to go, whether in posthumous characterization from the people left behind to carry out his legacy, or if he chooses to "go north" or "go south". He died lonely, tragic, unenlightened, and ultimately deeply human, with the burden of strength shaping his attachments and entanglements with his identity and the world. Will he ever achieve true enlightenment?
@semekiizuio9 ай бұрын
I like what you mention of his false enlightenment through drunken by CE power, viewed only by his title going forward and the soltude it brought. How unfortunate he never saw his students see him more than "the strongest" but as their mentor teacher and to Yuuta and Yuuji much more than that. To Megumi a complex but nonetheless acknowledgement of their relationship. In the anime I didnt like that the eye wasnt a void but at least the animation was well done. Still sad this mini arc of him wasnt really fullfilled, instead it was fulfilled by removing him the title of "the strongest" through Sukuna but not because of the people around him. Just for once not being alone, now with the people who he can stand besides with and recognize as equals in some ways.
