Batteries don’t last and pretty average experience for me. I wish it worked but I wasted my money dammit
@happyhenhouse1030 Жыл бұрын
If your batteries are not lasting, there is a problem. It could be you are not using Duracell or Energizer batteries, which have a much higher life in high-drain devices such as electric motors. Store brand, generic, Amazon brand batteries will not last as long, not even close. In the end it could be there is something draining them in the circuit board, but it is much less likely. You could always reach out to us...

Hello I just bought mine. Before I began it had E4 error code. Did install and went through all steps. Still have E4 code, is it broken?
@happyhenhouse1030 Жыл бұрын
Not likely. E4 is saying program the open and closed positions in steps 1 and 2 of the menu. Junk or low batteries can also cause this. Please reprogram step 1 and 2 to see if it clears. If not reach out at [email protected] or 314-690-1399

We had to temporarily stop production of these. The material cost and shipping has risen to the point that we could no longer sustain it. Hope it will equalize in the future.

If for any reason the door don't close totally (a chicken blocks the door) does your system leave the door open all night or does it starts again closing the door after the chicken moved off ?
@happyhenhouse10303 жыл бұрын
It will close. The way this safety works on this style door is that the door goes down until it is at the bottom or meets an obstruction. If the door encounters a chicken, the door will keep travelling down once the chicken moves. If the weight of the door is not pulling on the cord, the motor will stop turning. If there is weight on the cord, it starts again.

How do you get the string to release so I can connect to the door?
@cjsutterer48043 жыл бұрын
If you need to let more string out, there are two ways to do it. 1. Turn the black spool using your fingers. It's a bit tough to get started turning, but once it starts moving it's much easier. Please don't use pliers. 2. You can fake out the controller so that all the conditions are met for it to lower the door. Basically, the sliding mechanism in the center of the control board needs to be pushed to the left while the light sensor is covered or, if you have a timer version, the time is set so that the door should be closed. Once those two conditions are met, the rope will lower until you release the sliding mechanism.
@ktajax3 жыл бұрын
@@cjsutterer4804 Thanks. I pulled really hard on the string and slowly it came out. I didn't realize how much the door needs, prob 10lbs or so? The door is only 1/2" plywood. I'm going to have to figure something out .
@cjsutterer48043 жыл бұрын
@@ktajax Please contact us. Max weight on the door is 0.4 lb. Your door is too heavy.

@@cjsutterer4804 The door isn't even connected yet. String was so far up as I couldn't get the string to drop. I did after pulling on it really hard. I still have not hooked to door. The door is 12x12 1/2" plywood, it's not heavy at all.
@cjsutterer48043 жыл бұрын
A wooden door of that size is too heavy for this controller. 0.4 lb is the max for door weight.

Hello, please try removing the batteries for 10 min to allow any stored energy to dissipate. Also make sure to use only brand name alkaline batteries when you re-install. Please reach out to us at [email protected] if this does not work for you.

Hi there, you seem to be the expert on these boxes. I have a problem. Mine stopped working, when i pulled the front off to replace the batteries it was full on condensation. I replaced the batteries and nothing works. I i fiddle with the battery wire the light comes on but still nothing works. the light is on now but dull can't get the display up. When I press the left button the light goes dim but nothing happens, when I press the reset button nothing happens. I have left it to dry out for 2 days with no success. It is also out of warranty by 1 month and the supplier is of no help. Any suggestions ?

Hi there, Nice video. Installed the door and the controller. Put batteries (new ones) in and no screen popping up at all. The door and controller are brand new. Thanks for your swift response!

We can try to help. It would be easier if you sent some pics of the battery holder with batteries in and one of the controller insides. Watch for a bright flash when you first put the batteries in. It will continue to flash every 10 sec or 3 sec, but the flash is MUCH dimmer. Email is [email protected]

What is the setting for late close
@cjsutterer48044 жыл бұрын
If you are using light sensor mode, which is Ctrl 3, setting the close lumens down to around 5 or 6 would let the door close when it's near dark.

Hello there, please reach out to us via email. I want to help you out. As for the predators, once the door closes, I have not heard of anyone having a predator getting the door open. We have around 4000 of them out protecting chickens. Shoot an email to [email protected] with your contact info.

Would I be able to use the light sensor for the clothes setting an a timer for the open? My hands are coming out a little too early and making noise I’d like to keep them in a little longer. Also if I’m using standard say energizer batteries How long should they last?
@happyhenhouse10304 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can do that if you choose the CH1K-T or the CH1K-110-T. Standard Energizer are recommended and will last 3-5 months in the winter and 6-9 over the summer.
