As a book coach, I find a lot of my new authors have got self-limiting beliefs that make them struggle to embrace their new identity as authors. Sometimes it is just about writing a mere 15 minutes a day. We do a time test and most of them find that they can write over 350 words in 15 minutes. That test is a game changer, because 15 minutes is so much easier than thinking about a whole book.

Some excellent questions with some tough answers for most. I like that your decisions can give others courage to make better decisions in their own lives.

Could be because he's on an island now. He's been saying that he is in Britain now, I think, but he's not. He's on one of the Channel Islands. Having lived on a small island off the south coast of England myself, for 15 years, I know only too well how it can affect you. I too get the impression that he had broader views when he was still living in South Africa, that he's becoming a little isolated. We'll see.

Before I used to go against the grain. With age I got wiser and more stupid at the same time. I choose my battles more wisely and stand my ground more thoroughly. Though, because I live according to my principles, I find myself alone in the world. It is okay. At least I know who I am and what I stand for in a world of human drones. I am okay with that.

People don't usually like to be lead, so just keep on walking. When you have come around the first corner, they will come running and say:"I did it myself :)!"

I tend to be a catalyst, whether I like it or not, and whether people realize it or not. Is that leadership? I used to get projects going sometimes, in the past, and then step back. I'd tell myself that if it fell apart after that, then there simply wasn't enough support for it. But I am not talking business here and that makes it different. I also used to tell my clients "if anyone can do the job, you don't need me".

you need to speak to a Jersey Farmer if you want to hear a true Jersey accent and you will see for yourself that it sounds South African. the tower overlooking Corbiere Lighthouse is a German WWII observation/rangefinder tower. the glass section on the roof was added when Radio Jersey took it over for broadcasting. today it is owned by Jersey Heritage and is a holiday let (you can rent many historical lets on the island from them). the "Le Petit Train" is more commonly know by the locals as "the Wally Wagon", as everyone aboard it just grins and waves at everyone. lol
