Can someone help, I like these controllers but am having a big issue. I tested by just enabling a single output and left on running overnight, I come back and the output has turned off by magic while still running. If I try connect again a message appears to change my plc type from fx3u back to fx1 ??? I need to physically power down every time and back on to get it going? Defective unit?? any ideas would be appreciated.

I read the datasheet, the high-speed counter c251 (x0,x1) has a multi-pulse counting mode of 2x (when m8196 ON), 4x (when M8198 ON). i turn on any of those 2 bits but c251 is not working in correct mode.

Make sure the Comms adaptor uses pin 7, some don’t. The Xchipi-X short (100mm) unit does fine. Cable make up is Female to female, pins are 2-3, 3-2, 5-5 and 7-7.
