I started playing piano when I was 4. The arpeggio sections may require a bit of time to learn. Start slow with a metronome and gradually increase the speed as you practice :)

Hi! This was from a hardcopy book I bought years ago. It was part of Gospel Improv - Jazz-Style Improvisations for Solo Piano. Lots of great arrangements. Worth purchasing you're able to find a copy.

AMAZING!!! So good. I’m learning this now and I’ve mastered up to the first 50 seconds. How long did it take you to learn the whole song? I’ve practiced it about 3 hours total. I’m really struggling to get the second after the second one with the 6 E’s in the left hand up to speed with the arpeggios. Do you have any tips? Again AMAZING JOB!!!!! You are an incredible pianist and deserve so much more followers 😊

Thanks! I think the mic's brand is Lynx? Not sure of the model. But I connect them to a mixer, Behringer u-phoria UMC202HD and edit with Audacity.

What kind of piano do you have? It has a really clear tone. I have a grand as well but my notes are more muted

I think it's a Yamaha G3. I recommend recording with condenser microphones and then apply EQ to your recording. I use Audacity. It's a free software and easy to use.

@@TDuncPiano Thanks! You'll at least two mics - one for bass and other for treble. So you'll get two mics, connect them to a mixer and connect that to your PC via USB.

Impressive! I’m a huge Patrik fan and have learned a couple of his songs myself. Right now I’m working on the Theme From Dune, and I’ve got around 4:30 of it memorized. I totally recommend that one, it’s challenging to learn but not impossible ( Especially for someone who can’t read sheet music like me haha) I’m mostly self taught and have only been playing for about 4 years, so I feel like I’m making some alright progress. A question on this piece, What are you tips for playing long arpeggios such as these in time? Those really tripped me up when I learned his arrangement of Misty Mountians and I’ve really struggled on those for his newest song Star Sky. Thanks! A 15 year old fan

Patrik's arrangements aren't easy. Playing his pieces as a self taught pianist is impressive. I find repetition and different rhythms help with long runs/arpeggios. Start your metronome slow and play them in different rhythms (ex. Short note-long note-short note-etc.) Increase the tempo and do the same thing. Reverse the rhythm. And keep doing that until you get up to tempo. It definitely takes time and practice. Don't give up :)

Oh no! Unfortunately, I don't have another link other than Patrik's. I remember when he first posted his video there were copyright issues that prevented him from posting his sheets. I bought it as soon as Patrik made it available lol. I wonder if they forced him to take it down.

Amazing! I am trying to learn this piece since 9 months. However, just started two years ago with learning the piano. I got so far that I can play the whole piece at a relatively slow speed. I am now in the process of adding speed. I always come back to your video to study when you accelerate speed, how fast you play it, etc. Some passages are played so fast, impossible for me to get near that. But here is what I do, I try to play is at 70% of that speed. Then I will revisit this masterpiece in 2 years time and aim for 90% of you speed. Thanks for posting this, motivates me so much to keep pushing the boundaries :)

It's definitely a more complicated piece and it took me a while to get it right. I would have my metronome set slow and increase it by 2 bpm after each perfect run. That forced me to play a section over and over again. Practicing in different rhythms helps too. Good luck!

I couldn't find sheet music to download, but you may be able to purchase the book from Amazon. This was from Mark Hayes' "Lord, Be Glorified" book. Hope that helps.
