@ Thank you I did purchase it after I messaged you. One question, I did make two of them, the smaller opening at the bottom is difficult to sew. I am hand sewing the circle closed but I am afraid after repeated washings, the stitching will come loose. Is there another way to close the bottom? The top is not too hard to close, the bottom I stress out about. Any suggestions will be helpful to me and to anyone else who has made this item. Thank you.

For anyone looking to make a traditional welding cap (with the lining) you would need to sew an additional cap (without the band and and bill) using the pattern and attach them together. Then sew the band and the bill on last. Remember to always use cotton or natural heavy fibres when using for welding 😁

This is not a traditional welders cap, this may look like one from the outside. A true welders cap has no fabric overlaps from sewing the materials together on the inside.

I need a cap that leaves my ear holes uncovered so they can see I got my earplugs in but comes back down around the front of my ears to cover my bone conduction earbuds. Dumb boss says they're dangerous 🙄 what a load of crap... They were LITERALLY DESIGNED for joggers so they could listen to music and still be aware of their surroundings. 😔

you wasted enough fabric to make 2 of the caps and Im not sure where you learned to sew but you dont draw on the fabric to cut out, you pin the pattern down and cut around it so you DONT waste fabric.

I wished I had completely finished the video before I purchased the pattern. The flashing lights while she's sewing are little disconcerting. But I didn't realize it until I got to the end of the video that it is not a welder's cap with a lining.
