Lots of people are saying this is incorrect but what he said its true, right now if tesla want they can disable the owners access to enter the car, and alot of companies in recent times especially EV's are getting into full self driving, or already have it. Even ford said they are going to try to make their cars repoo themselves in the future. It will probably be the new norm in maybe 10 years

Everybody saying this is false is incorrect on star since 2015 and a few older than that have been able to shut off vehicles remotely. The dealership has shown that they can do this and multiple police stories. That’s why a lot of people that run from the police not only cover up their license plate so it’s harder to find them, but so OnStar cannot shut off their vehicle.😂

Bro, any vehicle with an OnStar feature, which is basically everything after 2015 can be remotely shut off by the dealership that’s why if they get your license plate and you’re running from the cops they can just shut off your car search it up, especially with the newer electric vehiclesit’s super easy to remotely turn them off😂

Security researchers have a long history of wirelessly hacking into EVs from afar to highlight the risks and force car makers to pay more attention to security. While Teslas are often the focus as the highest-profile electric car brand, such vulnerabilities could exist in any brand of EV with 4G/5G mobile broadband connectivity. Back in 2016, a team of Chinese security researchers were able to target a Tesla's CAN bus remotely and take full wireless control of the car. The vulnerability has since been patched by Tesla, but it offers an example of how critical security flaws can go undetected even once vehicles are on the road.

Aside from the fact that electrical vehicles also have this feature most vehicles after 2015 have an OnStar feature, which means that the dealership can remotely shut off your vehicle with the police request them to or if you miss a payment they can make it to where your car will not turn off without their permission or turn on without their permissionso yes, the government does control new vehicles😂

right. people think “oh a tesla can be hacked and they can take control of your gas and brakes” no, they cant? the only thing in that car that would be connected to like anything that could be intercepted would be the infotainment, which shouldn’t have anything to do with the controls of the car

All things considered, yes - electric cars are more easily hacked than other cars, because they have more potential points of vulnerability and because their onboard systems are more tightly interconnected.

@@Pharaoh5611 This is a stupid thing to say. I can buy a chinese locksmith tool untraced and steal all the range rovers in the country. New EVs especially the EV-only companies e.g. Rivian Tesla Vinfast do not provide any tools for locksmiths - this means EVs are in fact less likely to be stolen. You would have to break in and physically destroy the GPS module and then load the car up on a tow truck then take it to a shipping container or part it out. But you can't get in and steal/drive it like all other gas cars ever out there.
