Why though? That’s a really bad idea. Don’t ever do this again. Y’all are either really unsafe rocketeers or just horrible Kiters.

My kite is pretty as can be, but the harness string keeps twisting and the kite won't fly. I'll keep tryng.

*AFAIK:* The _"Picavet"_ system for attaching the camera rig to the kite line was developed by a Frenchman named Pierre Picavet *around* 1912 - 1914, which was _after_ Lawrence shot hos San Fran aerial photos.

I am not sure if it was said in this video, but the "six-sided kite" - which I already know of just from that description - is a Japanese-style kite called a _Rokkaku._ And NO, I do NOT know the correct pronunciation pronunciation of that name for certain. **I** say "row-KAH-koo", although "rowkah-KOO" might be _more correcterer..._ 😊 FWLIW: On the subject of [mis]pronunciation, I *INTERMITTENTLY* do {or DID} KAP here in northeastern North Carolina. I have shot a _very few_ pics of Bodie Island Lighthouse - a national historic site - in the nearby NC Outer Banks. The name "Bodie" is pronounced like the word, _body._ HOWEVER, since I _did not know that_ and pronounced it "bow-dee" for the majority of my FIRST TWO DECADES LIVING HERE, well, "bow-dee" it is...😝😝😝

SOMEWHAT AMAZING, the amount of _resolution and detail_ captured on a {QUITE LARGE} 1906-vintage photographic negative [or plate?] using an {ALSO QUITE LARGE} 1906- vintage camera. *GOOD ON 'YA, MR. LAWRENCE!!!!*
I am a kite flyer, but I have never seen anything like that.m how does this kit stays stand still..and then immediately turn..and obeys the instructions so beautifully. Brilliant design. If this could be turned into fighter kite, this being in great control will never loose the battles.. truly awesome

Porfaaaavor esta es una tradición que no tiene nada que ver con la Guerra interna que hubo en Guatemala, no vengan a darle un tinte ideológico como lo hacen en este video. En Guatemala no murieron indígenas si no que Guatemaltecos de diferentes etnias donde muchos fueron en manos de movimientos subversivos. Así que aquí no hay una verdad absoluta. Atencion!!..

Beautiful. In the days before modern lightweight fabric and hollow fibreglass spars, when kites were feats of old school engineering. Lovely to see.
