Hello BeatzBikez. Thank you for this detailed sharing (since not so much on this topic !). I have also a GT-Air 2 and was wondering if it would accept the 40mm diameter JBL loudspeakers from Cardo since the primary GT-Air 2 embodiment with SENA SLR2 was using smaller speakers roughly 30mm diameter only. From your experience, then it seems this works fine with the JBL as well ? Is the sound quality OK ?
@beatzbikez3 күн бұрын
The cardo packtalk edge comes with 40mm JBL and you can upgrade to 45mm at a cost. I don't see there being an issue with upgrading to the 45mm as the cavity inside the helmet should have enough room. The sound quality on the standard 40mm is good enough for voice and music ( not that I can listen to music while riding it's far too distracting) , volume at half is loud enough for me. Let us know how you get on, Thanks for watching!

How does the 8R compare with the Z/Ninja 650 in your opinion? Is the 8R kinda the same but just a tad better in every way? Thanks
@beatzbikez6 күн бұрын
The Z bikes give a more upright seating position and the handle bars are straight rather than the clip on style.The 8R likes fuel more than the Z bikes but that's down to the power of the bike. They both have pros and cons, I would suggest taking them both out for a test ride as they're both really good bikes !

When it comes to the entire wire installation you’ve lost me. Can’t see anything being done in the video
@beatzbikez19 күн бұрын
There are no given places for the wires, you have to improvise in placing them "out of the way" . The wires are looped under the helmet padding and stuck down with a small bit of clear tape, there really is nothing much to it. I'm sure you will be just fine installing the Cardo Edge, any issues let me know ill be happy to help you.

@@beatzbikez lots of swear words and 3 hours later I finally had it good enough to not drive me insane. My only problem was tucking the cord- mic cord connection point and the aux connection point was very bulky
@beatzbikez18 күн бұрын
They are bulky! Those wires are tucked in the cheek pad on both helmets making sure the wires are not near the white pop clips. Glad you got there in the end, keep safe out there !
@tkschrome48718 күн бұрын
@@beatzbikez I ended up pushing mine through the cheek pad clip hole rather than cutting. It smashed them pretty flat idk if that’s fine but I don’t have very much faith in wiring as I’ve had 2 cars go down from shotty wiring😂

Howvare the frontvlights at night? Too dim ?

The LED light is surprisingly bright, it's a white colour . Also the high beam low beam flash has a good reach. Thanks for watching and commenting !

Hi mate just watched your video, I have the same bike but in black. Would agree wind blast is a pain especially on the M4.

I would like to try a slightly larger windscreen at some point, but not make the bike look daft :) , The black stealth 8R looks real smart ! Safe riding and thanks for watching / subscribing !
@kcsutubeАй бұрын
Hi. I bought the factory larger windscreen... it pushes the wind more up to your helmet. Not high enough to go over the top. Perhaps puig or others will come out with something better, but this was the only one available as of April 2024.

Really helpful information there, I will certainly look into other brands 👍🏻 The smoke tint original windscreens look really good too! Thank you for watching!

@@beatzbikez How does the 8R compare in terms of wind on 'motorway' speeds? I love everything about the 8S, but it can be a bit tiresome on longer rides without the wind protection.
@beatzbikezАй бұрын
@@CraftyMrRyan You can feel the wind hit your upper body due to the natural riding position, if you tuck in and down its a lot less than the 8s. The front fairings helps the legs, but overall a bigger visor would really help your body taking the main wind force. ( I am yet to find someone who has installed a larger wind visor to get an opinion ). 🤔

Nice video mate! Question about the 8R, how is the fuel consumption? I have heard that the bike can be quite thirsty when you have a heavy wrist, even more or similar to the CBR650R. Thanks!
@beatzbikez2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! The fuel consumption is not too bad, 57.5mpg on my trip and about 180-200 miles per tank of fuel. I have not tried the CBR650R, but to get the power you have to hit higher RPM.. hopefully someone can clear that up in the comments maybe I should take one out for a "First Ride" video!

FYI: you have 4 types of display with different colour options giving 12 combinations, including the sweeping bar type you prefer, just read the manual or check YT online vids. as my first 'big bike' I love mine, so nimble and great fun. as with all bikes there's always a few niggles we think could be better (for us), and i wont name mine as there's nothing i can't live with easily, but overall honda have produced a fantastic all round machine at a great price, with that build quality, reliability & dealer network backup if you need it, so i'm well happy with my purchase, and glad i chose it over my initial consideration, the CB500F, which is a great bike too. Id recommend anyone who gets one to buy a rear hugger and front extender (i got powerbronze at £150 for both), as it can fling a lot of muck about, and i also managed to get a free sports pack with mine, but the jury's out with me as to the value, and knowing what i know now prob wouldn't have dug into my pockets & paid £555 for one, i'd have just bought the meter visor, as the quickshifter, only really works smoothly at higher revs & gears, but maybe that will bed in later, anyhow the clutch is so light and smooth it's no problem to do it the 'old fashioned' way. i also wouldnt pay almost a grand for the sc project exhaust, the stock one seems perfectly fine to me. GL
@beatzbikez3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the extra information, quite surprised they have that many combinations for the display ! I do like the Hornet, i think its a solid bike for sure and the majority of people who ride it would have a brilliant time. The quick shifter worked well at higher RPM like you say, the lower RPM i found it quite harsh with a jump forward but that could have just been my demo bike / me . I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a new bike in that range, as Honda reliability is excellent . I did settle for a new bike after ( Suzuki 8r ) some more videos to come soon , Thanks for watching and stay safe riding !
@Bob-ts2tu3 ай бұрын
@@beatzbikez your welcome. im due my 600 mile run in service next week so not a great deal of miles yet, and exactly the same experience with the quickshifter, but other reviews seem to suggest it's the nature of the beast at low revs, and i like to feather the throttle a bit at lower speeds anyway, at least until i get a little more used to the sharpness of the throttle when going slow. i did look at the suzuki 8r, it's a very nice looking bike, but many comparisons drew me to the honda instead, but horses for courses !!. Do you know of any CRASH BAR for the 8R?

I do, TST Industries have some crash protection and accessories. This link is for the frame sliders that look quite discreet and inline with the bike style. tstindustries.com/tst-frame-slider-crash-protection-suzuki-gsx-8r-2024.html Also Yoshimura have some for the 8S and potentially for the 8R. How much of a learning curve do you think it'd be jumping onto one of these after riding a 800cc cruiser?
@beatzbikez4 ай бұрын
You should be fine, the bike is easy to ride with the handle bars being higher than the supersport bikes. The 8s is excellent also and slightly cheaper, I highly recommend taking them out for a test ride, no doubt you will enjoy ! Easy to ride (no back ache) loads of fun.
