If there was an Eighth Doctor series, the intro would start at 0:39 0:47 - 1:00 The logo just like in the TV Movie 1:02 - 1:30 The main cast as they appeared in the episode 1:31 - 1:34 The 8th Doctor's character shot appears as the piano jingle plays 1:35 - End The TARDIS flies on-screen (like the TV Movie) version, and then the episode starts

The cybermen are scary in a way the daleks just aren't If you meet a dalek, it'll either kill you on the spot or get what it needs out of you THEN kill you. If you meet a cyberman? You're lucky if it kills you. More likely it'll drag you off somewhere and take away everything that makes you YOU. Turn you into a soulless, butchered husk kept alive by a metal suit.

As a kid, watching classic Dalek stories on VHS, this sound always put me on edge. When you heard this, you knew The Doctor was behind enemy lines. The 2nd, louder beat, always gave me a shot to my nerves. Like even the noises dalek machinery makes are harmful to life.

Apparently after the end of the first episode, with the shot of Barbera screaming as a dalek closes in, the show's head phoned up Verity Lambert and asked "What the hell was THAT?!"

Sure, lots of the 60's Who era hasn't aged well. But it had a certain feel to it that was so deeply, spookily "alien". Thanks to the sets, the writing and music like this. Love 60's Dr Who. LOVE IT
