Oops all the rich snobby jealous celebrities that have to force a smile, then when Ken got talking they realised they didn't have to.

What a difference he was from those pathetic men who sit opposite their girlfriend in a coffee shop stewing over their smartphone, while the girl looks at everyone so confused as to why she chose a man with giant balls who can't talk😂

He was a real icon, and his humour meant a lot to me and my friends. When I got to see him on stage in about 2010, the first couple of hours were wonderful. After that though the laughs were fewer, and after another couple of hours there was a desperate tone in his voice, and the spaces were longer. People were leaving before the end, as I did. In my case it was to be able to get home, but it was also not to see the show fizzle out. Bless his heart: this documentary shows how much more he was.

He's great but he needs a nose spray before he goes on stage.

The "chair person/ sperm donor of either sex" sketch just makes me think of how he was making jokes about sexual equality going to insane levels, and how these days, his jokes are actual reality.

What wonderful entertainment. Back in the 70's I went to Ken's show in Blackpool I was about 16 and it was fantastic.

I havent watched Dave Allen for a long time but tonight I had a great belly laugh about the absurdity of being human. Such great humour, such a great observer of us mere mortals. An amazing story teller, he had the audience in his hands. Thank you for reminding me about the laughs I had when Dad and I watched you in the 70s and 80s. RIP Dave and may you be with your god.

Don't know if it's already been said, but. Dave would sometimes tell of how he lost his finger. I don't know how many variations, I think there were at least five stories, all totally different, and all probably nothing like the real reason. Magic man, sadly missed.

Fascinating interview. Doddy was always inclined to entertain in interviews (do jokes rather than talk about himself), but this is one where he really opens up about why he does it and how he does it.
