Hello Neil, Thank you for your input on the Cyclomop Commercial Spin Mop. The majority of all mop and bucket systems on the market currently do not have a separate compartments. In essence you are actually still putting a dirty mop head back into clean water after each use even with separate compartments which contaminates the water, there is no true way to not contaminate the mop water. With our system it does allow you to agitate the mop head to help get the dirt and debris off the mop head after each use and mixes the chemical back in to help with cleaner floors. well clearly IF there were (and there could be ) two separate compartments and the cleaning fluid would be less contaminated IF there were two separate compartments ! a simple filter system in the rinsing and solution compartments would be very useful, effective and a novel advancement w/ great marketing appeal ! i am not an industrial designer but you no doubt could get one to whip it up , have it made !
