@4:54:15 marty is able to somehow sing a 4 ink cost song with an 3 ink sisu, and somehow his opponent just accepts it. what the hell

In reviewing the video, we think (hope) this was a mistake, because he has a higher cost Sisu in his deck. But we'll review it with the player. After this happened on the stream (And some folks brought it to our attention), we asked both players about it, and they both said they didn't recall him bringing out King Undisputed without hard castig it. We weren't in a position to review the stream in the moment. Also (while we certainly don't condone cheating), this particular match up was two players who had already made it to Top 8 and were just playing (by their own words) "for fun." So the stakes were really low, so it seems like a weird time to intentionally cheat. That being said, we'll discuss this with the player and share our concerns.

@4:05:20 the dispute wasnt correct. Marty played his merlin rabbit in the same turn he quested with it, which was technically cheating. Players, it's up to you to speak up and make sure your opponent doesn't cheat or severely misplay especially when it comes to gaining an extra lore in amethyst decks.

Ryan's annoyance losing to Emerald Steel in round 1 is exacly why Bucky is getting an erata. I get it. I beat Bucky in set championship top 8 yesterday but lost to it in top 4. Same thing last weekend. Lost to Bucky in top 8. Can't wait til Aug 9 🔥

Yeah I get being a little annoyed at losing to an O.P card, but this is something I don't miss about competitive TCG. The amount of cope opponents express when losing can be ridiculous. Ryan wasn't the worst, but I've experienced so many people coping after a loss at regular game nights. "I would have won if I had X,Y,Z", "you're so lucky because Z,Y,X". *Grumble grumble moan moan". It's so off-putting for a lot of people and can be detrimental for community growth when you have unsportsmanlike qualities. I get being bummed you lost, but people need to practice some maturity and not get too salty to the point of stealing joy from your colleagues.

His behavior whether frustrating or not can be seen as unsportsmanlike. His opponent shouldn’t have to feel bad for playing something it.

⁠@@SageMode3Dnah bro if you play an unlikeable deck that actively in a sense stops your opponents from playing is scummy so dont get mad when someone expresses their dislike because emerald steel is literally the embodiment of stopping your opponent like floodgates in yugioh so its fair

@@nuri345 it’s in the comprehensive rules. Unsportsman like major will get you game warning so be mad if you want but don’t be surprised if you get a judge called acting like that 🤷‍♂️

I'm not exactly sure what specific play you're referring to (your time stamp leads to the intro splash screen), but we spoke with all the players throughout the event and there were no reports of inappropriate behavior or judge calls related to player misconduct.. For many of our players, this was their first competitive event so there were a lot of mistakes make along the way.

So, interestingly, in the last game, I was correct. If you target me with Chandra, while I have Valkmira out, and don't pay the 1 Mana, the ability is countered and this includes mana generation and looking at the top card. If one part of the ability is countered, all of it is.

In the final match Liam had 5 mana and a Damping Sphere in play. He cast Stomp for 2 mana, then cast Bonecrusher Giant for 3, but Damping Sphere would've made it cost 4. It may not have changed the game, but it would've bought the control player 1 more turn.

Just wanted to clarify for those who might've gotten confused as to the day/night flip in match 1. Caleb passed the turn to me, in informed him day was turning to night. In response he wanted to Fatal Push the Brutal Cathar. I allowed him to go back and do it on his end step to prevent day becoming night. Sadly, it wasn't until later that i realized he couldnt push a Cathar.

Adam D was getting **really** upset in his third game against Elroy Z. He started flexing and kind of twitching, something he didn't do in game 1, when he ran into the hexproof and indestructible creature. Also the way he "flipped" the creature after looking at it. It's something that seems common among people with very expensive on-meta decks. Spending $500-$600 and losing to a non-meta, mostly jank, deck seems to set them off.

I don't generally comment on a player's deck, but I have no idea what Alessandro's deck in round 2 even *was* I was expecting a Supreme Verdict or something once he hit his 4th land, but casting only 2 spells (a 1/2 and whatever that enchantment/artifact was) in 5 rounds seems unplayable - Especially against *any* aggro deck like 8-Peezy, Mono-R, or Humans.

would like to suggest painting each panel of the tempt wall base or a different games. then when you take the tempt wall down. you can either hang them as art. or auction them off for a charity or something. & ^_^

Are there judges at these tournaments?

Hi. Yes, we have an L1 judge for most every Magic tournament, and also two Rules Advisors on staff. For RCQs, we also have an L2 contracted for support. The stream, nor any specific table, is constantly monitored by a judge. Players are encouraged to call a judge whenever they have a question, and the judges roam the floor throughout the tournament to observe.

I've made a comment here about some mistakes that have been happening, but have deleted it as it might frame me as a "know it all". I have to remember that I can see from a better vantage point and can deduce situations easier than either player at the time.

It's completely reasonable to call out mistakes that were made. A lot of our players review the footage afterwards to see where they made misplays or errors.

Hi, yes. We're based in Braselton, GA. We sell Flames of War from Battlefront, and have a dedicated community for the game. We don't stock it aggressively, though, as most players special order the particular units they want.

Well, it's been a year, but the answer is "now." :) We've started hosting casual Pokémon on Tuesday evenings, and will be having our first in-person prerelease for 2022 this coming weekend.
