Great but none of these records are old school. Old school records are from 1979 to late 1983 early 84.

Y'all see all those platinums on the wall! That's how good Prince was! He was better than these two, and they could have easily held Minneapolis themselves! A talent bomb hit that city in the 70s

I love and always will love this song. I know it's a love song for lovers but when I listen to it I think of my Mother. I was 20 yr old in when this song came out. I had just moved to Orlando FL trying to become an adult. I lived downtown in a boarding house on the 2nd floor and I would look out my window at my view of I-4 freeway and dream big dreams and think about all the LOVE my Mother had given me over the years but now it was time for me to grow up and be a man.

at the clubs on teen nights and school dances back in 85, whenever this song came on, all the girls and their guys would pour out onto the floor. the song still tugs at my heart 39 years later

Without a doubt one of the best love ballads ever written and a 1980's sensation. I can hear this song over and over again and never get tired of it because it clearly defines a moment in my life that I am sure many of you can relate to as well. 💔😢😢😢

Simply the finest song I've ever heard, and I'm not a new kid Not surprising, considering where it came from Jam & Lewis became the producers of the generation, making many of the biggest and best love songs of the 80's and 90's. They are synonymous with greatness.

I just love that acoustic sound … though it’s so tiny compared to a full Grand Piano 🎹 with sound board But it’s nice to hear strings struck by hammers … Natural acoustic sounds …. With a sound of a very soulful voice singing over

Hearing that song … riding a J train … on over pass over East New York Brooklyn … my old neighborhood as a kid … affer coming to NYC .. after leaving Martinique 🇲🇶 (French Caribbean ) Driving through SHEEP HEADS BAY from BELT PARKWAY in Brooklyn … driving through looking at the water …. Flowing under the Verrazano Bridge .. connecting Staten Island & Brooklyn …. TENDER LOVE ❤️ Tender side of Humanity … even in a roughest area &/or neighborhood in New York City … A bit of HEAVEN atmosphere … in a roughest ghetto Hearing that Acoustic-Electric Grand playing … A sound of it’s own … A sound between the Rhodes & Acoustic Grand Piano … that has it’s own Identical sound of it’s own (I’m just an crazy deep instrumentalist … I just love acoustic sounds )
