Trying to catch up ... I want to move OUT of Wisconsin....because trying to live as a like - minded , off grid person here, isn't working out so well. Stay warm everyone and take care !

Ed I wondered could you put an old crockpot in an insulated pot in the ground close to the coop.Keep it on low heat for the chickens for winter.Maybe put styrofoam hose around electric cord and bury it,connected to small solar generator so it doesn’t freeze?Just an idea,don’t know if it would work?

WOW! Ed, you as a nurse, no gloves? Do you know how much bacteria is in chicken poop?
@PC4USE117 сағат бұрын
As long as he has no open sores or does not touch his face/nose/mouth,he should be ok. It is not like the poop has ricin in it. I worked in healthcare for 22 years and Ed knows the same thing as I do.

Ed, thank you for the update. You are very busy with working full time,helping others with their builds. Handwashing laundry, taking care of the chickens. Organizing food storage and medical supplies then in between times,?seeing family on your rare trios to New York, and now helping Helks out with the puppies. You have absolutely nothing to do. Band your daily videos, organize group meetings snd projects and other homestead activities. Life happens. Be safe, stay healthy,

Oh the weather outside is frightful. But inside it's so delightful. And since we've got no place to go. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

The coop in NY was such a beauty. Looking forward to seeing the upgraded coop and run in your new digs. I learned so much after my first build that a second build would incorporate.

@markmelton8919 I'm sure, it's rained here in Carolina for the past 3 days and it's still raining but we're supposed to have some sunshine tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that.

Surprised that she hasn't smothered any yet. They already fine. They need to be able to move about. Personally, I don't think its up to us to support these pups.

Make sure nothing Big and Heavy falls on the puppies.. please do Not put Puppies in a space with big containers... pray and find a safe space for the puppies. Hella is a loving mother. ❤️ puppy 🐶 😍

I am tired and frustrated with the judgmental comments on this channel and others. If you have a suggestion And offer it In a kind and polite way That would be nice.. But Remember how words can sting And never be erased once you put them in print. And I love watching you Videos And I'm really happy that all the puppies are doing well. You have a lot on your plate right now And are doing a good job.😀. Stay strong and healthy!

Making some room for the dogs, great idea. Sorry everything got so wet on the trip down but you're figuring out like we all have too. Just keep in mind what type of food packaging you have on floor level. I've raised lots of kitties and they get into everything they can lol.

Ed, is that dry food in the jars? If it is, is it vacuum sealed? (All but sugar or salt). If not, you may want to see if it has gone rancid.
@undeadredheadКүн бұрын
The jar boxes will dry and still be good for storing jars on a shelf, maybe not toting around, though. I almost never throw a jar box away. LOL, my family knows I prize the jar boxes almost as much as I do jars.

@scrapykat3028Күн бұрын
He’ll have to fence them in for sure! Way too many hiding places to explore or get hurt. Maybe use a baby playpen. The kind with high enough sides for exploring pups but mama can hop out of easily! Soon they’ll be able to be in the cage Ed uses for Hella while he’s gone so they can get use to outside, see people and hear noises to socialize and sensitize them to noises.

See Israel taken the opportunity to try getting more land in that area. If they're weren't always lashing out at the other countries, maybe they wouldn't need to protect their border from attacks. Treat people the way you want to be treated. They treat every country as an aggressor.
