Funny enough a company I use to work for used the PRNDL acronym 😂 We had cars that needed to stay on and to prevent them from going to sleep you had to put it in Reverse then Drive and then Park. We called it “PRNDL”. First day I heard the term I immediately thought of this Scene 😂😂

Camila Cabello on the Kelly Clarkson show brought me BACK to this. By the way, my Dad's got 2 cars in his garage that have an "S" on the shifter instead of an "L" for Low. The "S" stands for Sport Mode. So in these 2 cars of his, it's a "PRNDS." I was in my sister's car on the 4th of July last summer, I noticed her car has an "M" on the shifter instead of an "L" for Low. So, in her car it's a "PRNDM." The "M" stands for "Manual Mode."
