What's also interesting about the older videos of this era, MTB, trials, bmx, whatever, is that there wasn't really any cinematic BS around, just a share of various sports throw in, and some fun or comedy in them. Now it's very extremely cinematic, with no other sports, and very little if any fun or comedy thrown in. Shows you how the sterilised society attitudes has leaked into our sports which used to be more about fun than anything else. Also, when you watch some of the new jams that get hosted, they are a shadow of their former selves, with everything feeling very forced... Where are the hosts that enjoyed throwing a bit of comedy or banter of previous times?

I also have an original copy with the Lee Cooper sticker on the tape. It’s probably the reason the quality is so good for something so old. This is a real snapshot in time at the very start of BMX in the UK

Now sadly almost grown over and forgotten about. Smart phones and the Internet with kids hasn't helped. Plus loads of other things. Mountain bike etc. brilliant childhood memories ☺️
