Thanks for the helpful video. I'm going to use it to inspect a M1097A2 that I'm hoping to buy.

How do you clear the codes? Can you disconnect / reconnect TCM or simply disconnect batteries? Or do you need scan tool?
@BMD110002 жыл бұрын
Fortunately, I didn't have to get that far, so I'm unsure of the answer. I found some great information though on the GearReport site. Maybe the answer can be found there.

I've got an M1165 that won't go over 30mph. So followed all your steps exactly. My wait light doesn't flash. My trans light doesn't blink. Instead I get the regular routine of the wait light being solid for a couple seconds as if it's running the glow plugs, and the trans light never turns on/blinks at all. So I'm not sure how to troubleshoot from there with the jumper cable in slots A & E. I tried this by keeping that TCM box plugged in like you did, and also tried it with the main cable unplugged to that TCM box. I get the same results trying both. Any suggestions? It's in park, with parking break on, & tried various jump cables, no luck. I really don't understand why the glow plug wait light isn't flashing with that glow plug controller disconnected under the hood???

I wish I knew more and could help but I really don't know what to suggest.

check if the trans circuit breaker is tripped (under/behind passenger seat near battery box) if not check the resistance on the circuit breaker. if thats good check the wires for ohms and voltage then go from there

Where did you get those speakers?
@Joseywales4144 жыл бұрын
Besides asking you where you got the speakers& how much? I must say very nice job, what about those over the top spot light rack on the front bow? Is that removable & disconnects for the cover top to be put on?
@bendavis68464 жыл бұрын
@@Joseywales414 The speakers were from Amazon, made by Wolo. I bought basically the same PS speakers not too long ago from Amazon and paid about 1/2 of what the Wolo brand cost me. The lights on the front bow were done in such a way that the it was not compatible with the cover. However, I did design it so that it would release and new uprights and a bow could have been substituted so the cover could be put back on.

I can only dream of a sound system like that one... party deuce! Sadly, I have to be behind Arron's Rent-a-Center in parades to hear any sound like you have. Nice looking rig!

Thanks, I sold that one several years back. There is a build thread (Rumblin Wreck) on SS though.

LOL. This video was posted 5 years ago and believe that the music was just the radio playing (hence the oshkosh b'gosh ad in the middle of the video). Maybe you should take your criticism to the radio station.

I sold it about 4 years ago when we moved to a new house. I eventually plan on getting an LMTV (M1078) and tricking it out the same way. The M35A3 was super cool but I want to be able to go more than 45mph. I have a build thread for this deuce on Steel Soldiers if you want to check it out (www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?92951-Rumblin-Wreck-Build).

Did you run a battery isolater or a step down to add the radio.

Could I run one of these on waste oil or vegetable oil? I'll have the oil and that cleaned down to one micron and for every 50 gallons of it use 5 gallons diesel. I'm hoping I'll safe fuel this way
@Rick188510 жыл бұрын
As long as it burns, that's all that matters.
@BMD110009 жыл бұрын
No. This is not a "multi fuel" deuce. It is a M35A3 not an M35A2 and therefore has a Caterpillar 3116 engine that is diesel fuel only.
@MartysDamnRelaxingSounds6 жыл бұрын
NO don't fuck around with stupid shit. Stick with Diesel. The A3 was a Cat engine not a Multifuel.
@danwindover228610 жыл бұрын
how did you run 12v power? have a stepdown or something?

I used two 720 watt Pyle 24 volt to 12 volt power converters to handle the stereo system, The off road lights are 24 volt.

That is just a 25 gallon air tank that I would occasionally run with the truck's on board air system so that I would have more stored air if needed to run air tools.
