I cannot speak for older models but I bought a VIPARSPECTRA XS4000 in 2024 and the company uses old technology tar filled ballasts that run hotter than hell. This POS light running at only 60% power will jack the temp inside a 2x4 tent up to over 100 degrees quickly if you forget to turn your exhaust fan on. The ballasts on top of the light fixture will burn blisters on you where my SpiderFarmer ballast is only warm to the touch.

A lot of times when people step up into a bigger tent, they will grab the first light they can afford. I think it’s better to wait a week or two then get a quality light.

I just got the new viparspectra XS2500pro it’s amazing. Best light I’ve used

P series viparspectra are the most under rated leds out there or close to. I've used them and they have grown very very impressive plants. I have the XS too and I think there is little difference between the two. Perhaps the XS will last longer. I've used them both for 4 grows now and they're both still going strong

I bought 3 Viparspectra lights ks5000 ks 3000 and P600 I'm not sure i like them Veg they seem ok But flower they seem be be not so great The old HPS does make the plants grow faster and more healthier. In my opinion.

I have the P2000 and the XS2000 side by side in a 4x4 foot area. Both lights do a very good job.

I put a little fat buy the drives keeps them way cooler

Lol got a hortibloom evo 720 in a 1x1.2 m2 that's 720 watts. Remember these light can turn down go for the hightest output led you can as the efficiency gos up and so does the price.

Whatever you do, if you go beyond 4x4 -> use multiple boards / small fixtures. I put four SF-2000s in my 5x5 and got a 1.8m² area (5x4) to 2.55 umol/w @ 606w / 850 umol average @ 15" My corners and center par are a bit weak but all over 700 umol/s wich is superb. The uniformity is dope overall, efficiency is lit and I can hang each one at a different height. No---brainer...

To be told finally after being sick of waiting once again another two months. I asked for a refund and I still haven’t received that that’s been almost three weeks waiting by the way. I just got my XS4000 today it is very bright. I'm happy with it

LMFAO 🤣😆. Estimated yield. LMFAO 🤣😆. Anyway, this is a nice video. Good job. But there is one thing that I would like add to this comparison. And it's in regards to the space between the bars of the bar lights. I know when someone does a test with these lights. Most of the time that person shows a par map. That shows the par for said coverage area. And these maps show almost the same par in the space between the bars. I also perform these tests with every light I purchase in my grow rooms. And basically get the same results. But for some reason, unknown to me. Once I do a grow with said bar lights . They don't perform that way. Please let me explain. I grow with aeroponics in the SOG. And have been for almost 12 years. I built all my aero systems. Each system measures 3'x2'9". Each system has 46 grow spaces that are a little less then 2" apart. So lets say 46 plants in a 9 s/ft area. Well this is what happens when I grow with a bar light over one of my systems. Which I have 4 of, that I run on a 2 week rotation. Which means every 2 weeks I harvest 1 system, 46 plants. And start another system, 46 plants. Anyway like I was saying. Everytime I grow with any bar light over one of my systems. The growth of the plants that are in the space between the bars suffer dramatically. To the point that the plants that are only as little as a quarter of a inch away from the bars, only grow HALF as big as the plants that are directly under the bars. Then the plants that are further away grow smaller than that. So even with all the par reading that all these people do in all these videos. And even with my own test. In the real world, for some reason it doesn't work that way. If I don't have diodes over every plant. Growth of said plants suffer dramatically. Why? Your guess is probably as good as mine. I mean I know that the strength of the light projected from a diode weakens dramatically the further it gets from the diode. And I also know that any type of lens covering said diodes. Will also weaken the strength of the projected light from the diode. But. Why are the par readings, in all these test. Showing that the par in the space between the bars. Is almost the same as directly under the bars. But in all reality and in the real world. Why are they not performing as said. I have wasted my money on over 10 of these lights. And we all know that they are not cheap. And they ALL performed the same way. And I've performed this test at least 50 times. With the same results. Now I would have never found this flaw. If I want to call it that. Which I do. If I was just growing 1 or 2 plants under these lights. So just think how these lights are effecting your grows. So finally I'm no scientist. And the only reasoning I can come up with is. Good ol' mother nature playing her games. Like all women do. LMFAO 🤣😆. Anyway good luck to all. And happy holidays. ASS OG Aero Systems Sea Of Green.
