Could you share where you found all this information? My Hammer has been doing great and suddenly has been closing up more and more and being closed for longer periods of time... Also what do you think about the Hammers liking higher levels of Magnesium?

I bought a frogspawn and the zooxanthaelle in the coral were green and brown. After a while in my tank it was doing really well then one day it didn't expand and it expelled all the brown algae. Right now it is a translucent green. My other frogspawn and hammer also expel brown stuff that I think is coral poop because the polyp acts normal while its "pooping" and they have the same color.

I accidently discovered how easy it is to frag hammers by simply snapping them off at the base! I was trying to remove my first hammer from the frag plug by bending it at the glue, hoping the glue would release from the plug, only for the hammer itself to snap slightly above the glue! The coral itself was perfectly fine, I just glued it to the live rock and it opened up within an hour.

Great info. I’m new to lps and the hammer is also my favorite, and the reason I started reefing.

FragboxTV here on KZbin, a Canadian shop, do have torches touching hammers and fragspawns in several tanks for years without any problem, they say it's a false myth they can't touch.

I've had a branching hammer in my tank for a couple months and the last month it just remains closed as well as no new growth, Not sure what's going on. All my other SPS and LPS corals seem to be thriving one being a torch that's been growing like crazy. Any thoughts what might be happening with my hammer?

Hi, really enjoyed your video. Haven’t had much luck with hammers and I’ve learnt from this video to not place them in high flow or strong light. Can you or any other reefers out there please elaborate on more detail on best way to acclimatise them?

What causes the brown jelly disease? Why do some hammers sometimes look good, but suddenly hide and don't look plump no more? While other hammers are fine in tank? What iodine type do u recommend?

Thankyou for your informative video. I had a beautiful large Hammer coral many years ago in the beginning of my hobby and sadly lost it by placing another coral next to it. I am starting this hobby again but doing my research this time.
