Daly is one of the most important scholars on feminism and the xtian deconstruction who ever existed. If not THE most important scholar. I was raised in an evangelical environment both church and school. I knew well the denigration of the female embedded embossed and foremost in ALL applications of Abrahamic religions. I loathed it, however, I didn't have the language to explain why. Reading 'Beyond God the Father' then the seminal 'Gyn/Ecology' gave me the words and the way to reinforce who I am and what my experiences were/are within the patriarchal religions. I rejected it as a child in Sunday School. I reject it now as a grandmother of 7. The xtian purview has caused untold devastation to females and to males is they only actually thought about it, it's history and it's treatment of anyone or anything deemed 'less than'.
