These are beautiful but to make them safer I highly recommend using a bullet puller. You can get one on Amazon for like $12. Use it to remove the bullet and empty the propellant. A hole punch from inside the casing can remove the primer also. Use a rubber mallet to reinsert the bullet into the casing. If you do these steps you can have almost the exact same look, and a lot less to worry about in the case of a fire! Live ammunition is also very dangerous if it isn't disposed of properly please don't get the garbage man killed in 20 yrs if these ever get thrown out.

so amazing!!!! elegant!!! Actually I have a bad experience with resin on coasters I did my first coaster with ArtResin brand, after more than 72 hours I check it , it is nice!! Now it more than two weeks but when I try to fold, I feel that it can be folded hardly "bendable", not strongly solid ? Now it more than 2 weeks but same bendable~!!!!! I don not apply ink or pigments, I mix well with equally amount of ArtResin product??? I try my second attempt more careful to adhere the instructions but the same second bendable coaster!!! I have bad experience with Art Resin!!!! What u advice me about?? temperature?? or what?? as I kept it in a wooden closet cover with plastic cover. I searched I know that ArtResin not suitable for coasters!!! ohh I purchased it to do my coasters project!! and now I am not sure if I applied thin coat over wooden coaster will it be heat resistant or not!!! I am disappointed from resin!!

Would it work better to keep the branch whole and coat the outside with resin/epoxy the ban saw or chop saw to cut into discs ? Looking to try doing the same idea myself. Also, instead of a router I’m going to try and use a 3-1/4” Forstner bit to hollow it out a bit... any thoughts on that ?
