I've sailed in 11 feet on Quantum didn't feel much at all really sturdy ship

I was on a cruise where we encountered really rough seas like this in the Tasman Sea off New Zealand. These ships do a good job stablizing but only to an extent. These waves are up to 50 feet. This kind of rocking is actually pretty stable in those conditions.

Probably the rocking outside does not translate to the conditions inside... Great view

I used to go flounder fishing with my dad when I was a kid. Upon being out all day and returning it would usually take a day for for my life to stop rocking. I found it so peaceful sleeping the night after fishing. I got sick only once when we were on a party boat and caught in a storm in Long Island sound. I wish I could hack being on a rough ocean like that but I’m sure I would be sick in an hour or so.

I sure wouldn't want to be on a cruise ship during this weather...they aren't built for that. They are essentially hotels on the water. Only ocean liners are built for this....and the only one in service now is the RMS QM2
@Will_Russell4 жыл бұрын
They are absolutely built to withstand this and much worse
@hunterpeters10913 жыл бұрын
You are so incredibly wrong. Cruise ships are ocean liners... They may have different activities and aesthetics to an ocean liner, but at the end of the day, a ship is a ship.

So does anybody think or having an idea if they can attached a magnetic into the furnitures through the floor that will be use on the ship ( ship are made of steel) most of the furnitures were been in a crowded places so it can prevent a serious injuries and its doesn't rapidly moving and can't cause of any accident while in water chaos..

did you notice the BLUE ensign flying on the stern ? That means it has not been commissioned yet, there for it is not entitled to carry the HMS tag. Once Queen Elizabeth has been commissioned, the carrier can carrier the HMS tag and the WHITE ensign.
