I know this is an old video, not sure if you planning on fishing for tiger on fly again I would suggest working on your stripset, using the line to set the hook rather than the rod fly rods don’t tend to have enough backbone for a normal hook set especially on a tiger which has an extremely hard boney mouth

I like to tie when I have music on , and Mark Knopflers music is so good you can lost in it and the next thing you know one fly box full . When the brushes came out I thought why would I use that I already make composite loops , then I used one never looked back . Hardly ever tie making a composite loop anymore unless its some type of intruder pattern that I want specific materials in .Nice easy tie with readily available materials that looks really fishy . Good job :-) Thanks

Its clouser style but not really a clouser because they are meant to be tied sparsely. This has literally about 3 times the material !

Great looking fly, I need a couple of these in my arsenal, is this a variation of your mullet pattern ? How do they hold up with some of those toothy critters? Wait I’ll make some up and get back at ya ! , 😃👍🏼. 9/3/20 .

Looks great. Nothing beats making your own dubbing brushes. I recently bought a couple of different baitfish Body Wrap materials from different companies and they were all junk, fell apart easily when wrapping some of them, they were not spun well so they had a lot of gaps in the brush and they really didn’t give you a long enough piece of it. So I am going back to making all my own dubbing brushes. Being able to control the length of the material so you don’t have to waste so much when shaping the fly and adding the color flash of your choice is all worth spinning up your own dubbing brushes at home. I was recently tying up a Game Changer streamer on the Fish Skull’s Articulated Fish-Spine and I was cutting off half the length of the baitfish body wrap brushes just to get it down to a size where I could start shaping it. So I threw all the scraps in a ziplock to use for something else later on. Thanks for the video and I will be tying some of these up really small for speckle sea trout down here in Texas.

whoever is complaining about the music evidently has no idea what this song is about. I figured this was made in the United States we have a freedom to do what we will like and you have a friend to be an a****** and comment on someone else's music the song was featured in Miami Vice and one of the greatest episodes created maybe he likes Miami Vice. I sure do. so get lost jerk

Nice pattern. But for saltwater fly fishing I did not have good experience with the Craftfure. After a couple of actions, the fur under the actions of wind and salt makes tide knots and the fly doesn't really looks attractive for the targeted fishes... Therefore I rather use Kinky fiber now or more rigid fibers.

+Mike Liberty This song is - "Brothers in Arms" - Dire Straits ....Definitely not religious.... though this being another man's video, religious would be his choice if he chose to do so....I can't see how you would be so shortsighted and lack the open-mindedness to allow a man his freedom of choice right?
@HenryCarmonaTexasSlayer

Mike ???? What are you talking about? What part of this song even remotely made you think it was "religious"?? Wait, "baptism of fire" right? LOL FYI - "Brothers in Arms charted at number one worldwide, spending 10 weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart (between 18 January and 22 March 1986), nine weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 in the United States, and 34 weeks at number one on the Australian Album Chart. The album is the eighth-best-selling album in UK chart history, is certified nine-times platinum in the United States, and is one of the world's best-selling albums, having sold over 30 million copies worldwide." ""Brothers in Arms" is a 1985 song by Dire Straits, appearing as the closing track on the album of the same name. It was originally written in 1982, the year of the Falklands War. It was re-released in 2007 as a special edition to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the conflict and raise funds for veterans of it with posttraumatic stress disorder." You can hear an EXCELLENT interview about the song by downloading the podcast interview: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01mqp1r

I have found that high tie clousers do no foul nearly as much as the regular style clousers. As far as the fly being tied to heavy, that is the style i also prefer. especially with craft fur. I am a big fan of letting the fish thin them out giving them a sparse look.
@PewGoBoomLife

agreed! And just recently tied some up similar! Stripers are killing them! And surprised that not much tangling up is happening. Hooked and landed a 48"x30" about a week and a day ago. Talk about a 30 min fight!!!

That is an amazing way to easily tie a baitfish pattern. To create a dubbing loop instead of using so fibers and adding them on the fly. Brilliant!!
