That’s me, I left Samoa 54 yrs ago to go to NZ as a sister to my cousin when I was 13 yrs old. Now living in America and my poor son wants to learn Samoan, but I always defaulted back to speaking English. Told him, he has to go and live in Samoa bc he’s not going to learn much from me.

Climate change is not the most pressing issue in Samoa. What is concerning is the increasing influence of organised crime in the Pacific, particularly drug trafficking in Samoa, poverty, youth unemployment, non-communicable diseases, family violence, teen pregnancy, critical impacts of social media on our culture/customs/core values such as the attack on the family unit, religion, etc.
