I see some comments talking about how it was very bad that this pro America show came out during the Trump administration. While I agree that it’s bad to have a show celebrating trump’s America that’s just now how I see this show. I think this is a commentary on what America should stand for and how it could be great if we valued the right things. For example, they spell out truth at one point. Something the former president is not exactly known for. They have the section commemorating veterans, when trump lied about having bone spurs to avoid the draft. I see this show as a plea for what could be and not a love letter to trump.

Well for one, DCI marchers are all professional and experienced to March and play at the same time. Usually in a High School band, the possibility of people simply just Marching and not playing exists and that can also hold back some.

Shame... What an AMAZING season, what a great show, but cut short... Seriously, if you all had taken this to Grand Nationals with us (Jenks) seeing your scores from OBA I KNOW you all would've made finals... Someday, but man... you all could've had it I know it. You're there.

I defiantly disagree, don't think they would've made finals. Would've placed around 25-20th if your looking at scores from OBA. They didn't improve much from the first time they performed at a contest to 2 weeks later at the union event. OBA scores were definitely higher but that's because they have a different format for judging than BOA.

F4Z3 R41N im not looking at OBA scores, but considering even at OBA with inflated scores they were only 2 behind Jenks as Jenks was 2 behind BA... 3 weeks later at Indi and the progress wouldve been made to very possibly get into 11 or 12, especially with no texas bands showing up.

@@FZRN-cm3ws OBA does not have a different judging format, but I agree that they wouldn't have made finals. Jenks had a special year. I hope that continues for them, and I hope Bixby continues to grow. Would be killer to see all 5 prominent Tulsa metro bands make finals one year.

@@graceehastings8443 The point is the show (not "score", I mistyped the word, sorry) has the obligation to mean something specific. Every show worth doing is a commentary on the present day. Why did they choose this theme in this year? Why a patriot theme with the worst president we've ever had? You know, this championship was held on the day that Trump made fun of the firefighters fighting the California blaze, some of whom died in the blaze, and insulted the bureau of land management.

One of my favorite shows this season, the video is doing bixby a huge injustice. Watching this in person is incredible, I'm one of those people who will analyze a show and see inconsistencies but for this performance I couldn't find anything wrong. Such an awesome show hope bixby keeps rising

This is a great show but they are going to get SMOKED by Tarpon Springs.... their show is ridiculous... but this is really good. Our band is very traditional but traditional bands don't win any more- the techno shows with gimmicks are winning everything so even though Broken Arrow's show is beautiful and their marching is absolutely perfect it will be hard to beat 13 jumbotrons...

I went back and watched their show yet again. As I said it's well-done, but if you look past the TVs it nothing spectacular. Pressing a button and letting the electronics do their thing is the easiest thing you can do - no skill. That will come into play. I'm looking forward to seeing their final form of the show though.

Honestly tarpon has gone downhill since their 2010 show. I think they need to go back to their roots... good balance of props and performance not just TVs and dancing around in front of them.

I've only been keeping up with marching bands for a few short years, but Bixby is certainly one of my favorite bands to watch. They are making great strides and becoming a real force. I'm definitely a fan!
