Recently discovered your channel and am very impressed. I used to model in 1/35 but gave up some years ago. I have been looking to return to the hobby but I need to do it on a budget, a pension does not go far these days. Watching your channel has inspired me to start building in 1/72 with the possibility that I may even try scratch building small vignettes or dioramas. To give me an idea of what a decent 1/72 kit can look like I have ordered the Australian Centurion by Vespid. Many thanks for the inspiration and I hope I find my magnifier headset before the kit arrives.

Thanka a lot @Graham_Thompson! I'm really glad to hear that my channel and my work has inpired someone to return to the hobby. I have this kit (not assembled yet), and it seams super nice, and represents a machine and version not so common out there. I bet you'll have lots of fun with it, and I hope to hear some insides from you!

Stunning effect. What the last layer on top of the freshly painted cobblestones? Looks like a putty and some grey paint mixed
@TheModelerNestАй бұрын
Thanks! It is plaster mixed with some acrylic paints. In this specific case, Vallejo dark gray and dark olive

looks really cool. Im gonna steal this method
@TheModelerNestАй бұрын
@JohnDoe-zj8xz just be careful with whipping the excess plaster. Do it slowly and without much pressure to not ripoff the underlayer paint. Good luck, and thanks for comment!

Hi man, excellent work! What brush are you using? Is a 000 or finer?
@TheModelerNest2 ай бұрын
@ganzerlich , thanks for your comment! I'm glad you liked it! And yes, I used a triple 0 brush on the chipping and scratch effects, and also for the "rain marks" made with oils and spirits

Great job for 72nd scale. One thing that almost all panther chassis modelers get wrong or don't realize is the area under the long lip that the side skits hang on. It's V shaped so.any kind of dirt or mud builds up under the lip. Most heavy areas is the rear area out to the end of the spare tracks on the side. Even with side skirts on, it makes it far worse because all that churned up dirt and mud has nowhere to go but get impacted under the lip.

The weathering shows great effects and the end result is convincing across the board. Excellent work, especially when you consider the small scale. Great job in every kind, Bruno. Best wishes and a nice weekend. Joachim

Thanks @JohnDoe-zj8xy. The airbrush is a Sagyma SW770. I'm pretty sure it is not the best out there, but I just use it, which made me master its use for this purpose.

l personally don't like Vespid models . The individual track links and photo etch provided are a real pain and makes what should be an enjoyable build becomes boring , tedious and stressful . They should follow "S models" example and have the running wheels and tracks moulded as a single piece part .
@TheModelerNest5 ай бұрын
Thanks for commenting @clouddog2393. I prefere tracks and wheels separed for painting porposes, but I see you point. It is nice to have different opinios over different brands and kit.

Nice to see such masterly work with the tiny parts. The result is very convincing. Great work with this kit of the early Jagdpanzer 38 /Hetzer! Vespid kits have a great quality and when the kit is available in my area, I will get one too. Have a good weekend, Bruno. Greetings, Joachim
