All my years of living in LA, the best place to see celebrities was the Brentwood Country Mart. OJ and Nicole. Maria Shriver and the kids. Jack Lemmon and his son. One day I looked up from my chicken basket and there was Angela and Bea chatting away walking towards the little post office. It never got better than this.

I love that Todd’s actor looks amused when it cuts to his expression at the end. Angela killed it!!

This is my favorite song in the show - the perfect patriotic depiction of the quintessential all-time loser. Also, some of the styles seemed ahead of their time, especially the long-haired "Indian" that looked unusually hippie for the fifties. Thanks for posting this!

This song always makes me tear up- beautiful arrangement and insane vocals! One of my fave songs.

Astounding how much Ethel Merman resembles Roseanne Barr. Are they related by any chance?

Oh boy! They don’t make like that any more. Absolute dynamite. Hard working, talented, driven, took the ups with the downs. Successful and still very approachable & friendly. Class like that, just is! ❤

We'll always be bosom buddies, Friends, sisters and pals; We'll always be bosom buddies, If life should reject you, There's me to protect you. Vera: If I say that your tongue is vicious, Mame: If I call you uncouth; Vera and Mame: It's simply that who else but a bosom buddy Will sit down and tell you the truth. Vera: [speaking] Tho' now and again I'm aware that my candid opinion may sting, Mame: Tho' often my frank observation might scald; I've been meanin' to tell you for years You should keep your hair natural like mine. Vera: If I kept my hair natural like yours, I'd be bald. [singing] But darling, Vera and Mame: We'll always be dear companions, Vera: My crony, Mame: My mate; Vera and Mame: We'll always be harmonizing, Vera: Orphan Annie and Sandy, Vera and Mame: Like Amos and Andy. Vera: If I say that your sense of style's as far as off as your youth; It's simply that who else but a bosom buddy Will tell you the whole stinkin' truth.
