At least you all had a good time. I hunt mule deer and elk and a few pheasants. We have tons of pheasants. This year the deer aren’t as plentiful as in years past. The winters haven’t been too bad so I don’t know why they’re not as plentiful. I hunted an island on the Yellowstone last year and I saw more moose than deer.

I like the video... I like the stories that are told, the history, and of course the food... I would like to see more of the shooting and tricks you've picked up along the way too. I'd also like to see something about how many deer you're able to harvest in a given year.... but keep the videos coming; very enjoyable.

Liver shots etc can take 8-12 hours for them to expire… maybe give them longer next time and stop bumping it over and over again. We’ve all bumped deer but bumping it 4 times??? Lol

Sorry but I have to be honest that was a terrible video. Too much cutting back and forth from different times and days, the camera bouncing around while you were walking in the woods or videoing inside the camp. There was more video of the food and chores than hunting.

No, they use a stiffer type foam that is still flexible in order to keeps its shape. It is comfortable, so it’s not stiff like a board.

A well done deer camp video. Captured the feeling of being in deer camp with the boys. You guys eat well too. At least in PA they let the hunters have the deer meat while sending in the head for CWD testing. Not all places do that. In our area a few years ago they hired outsiders working with game wardens to come in and shoot most of the deer by baiting and jack lighting . The meat was all destroyed and the locals got nothing. The herd is still trying to recover.
@kesleycottrell1416 Жыл бұрын
We may be different at our PA Deer camp (Tionesta) but we go to camp to eat and drink stuff our wives and Doctors won't let us. Sometimes we even hunt if the poker game ever stops. We hunt when we get home. Flintlock season is entirely different. We actually go hunting and have fun.

I actually haven’t played around with removing it, but I think it’s fairly simple. You just pull the Velcro apart in the lumbar area and pull it out.

How warm is this flannel? Comparable to a winter jacket or more like a heavy sweatshirt like under armor cold gear?
@pennsyltuckyadventures Жыл бұрын
Well, I didn’t get to test it much this winter because we didn’t get a winter apparently, haha. I did get out with it one day in the 40’s and I would peg it as between the two. Definitely not going to keep you as warm as a winter jacket unless you run hot, but will be warmer than a sweatshirt for sure. I run cold, but in the 40’s hiking it was plenty warm if not too much. Glad it had the system to roll the sleeves up with keepers. All I had underneath was a performance long sleeve.
